@elliptical2013:  I don’t know, but I’m replying so I see the solution too!

I used a lip stain so there wasn’t any risk of transfer.

I used a MAC long wearing color with their lip primer stuff underneath… definitely helped it not come off on DH!

I also wore a lip stain – sleek pout paint. It stayed on for the whole wedding and reception. The only makeup transfer I had was during the receiving line. Lots of hugs, a few guys ended up with face powder on their suits! Hahaha

@elliptical2013:  Lip stain isn’t like ink. You’re not literally staining your lips. It’s more like putting a thin varnish over your lips instead of a paste like lipstick.

It will come off if you lick your lips too much or just use a mild soap on it.

@elliptical2013:  It eventually wears off, but it doesn’t transfer to things like lipstick does, and it isn’t sticky at all like lipgloss.  If you apply a layer, blot, and then apply another layer, I’ve heard it lasts even longer.  The only time I notice it coming off on me is after I eat (I’m a messy eater so I have to wipe my mouth with a napkin a lot..lol).

I didn’t wear lipstick. I didn’t need to. I just used a bit of lip balm and I was set for the day.

I am using Makeup Forever Aqua Rouge.  It’s a liquid lipstick with a clear gloss.  The gloss will transfer but it is clear.  The colour didn’t transfer and only came off a little bit with eating.

I wore lipstick followed by lip gloss which was the onky thing I reapplied during the event. During the ceremony kiss we didn’t french and we met each other’s lips. Just be careful you don’t get hus cheek. We gave each other a couple light kisses. For the photographer we did a bit more kissing, but nothing messy. If your groom doesn’t like it have you use a handkerchief.
