Miss Taffy's post made me realize I still haven't decided. I know that I want a stand mixer but I wanted to find out if anyone had opinions about which is better. The cuisinart is cheaper and seems to take up less space and I like the food processor and blender attachments.

Just wanted to see if anyone had personal reviews.

Kitchenaid.  My mother in law has a kitchen aid mixer and hand held blender- she got them as gifts at her wedding (over 35 years ago) and she still uses them on a weekly basis.  They've never broken, and she bakes all the time.

I have a kitchen aid as well, and I love it. The pasta, ice cream, and juicer attachments are pretty awesome.

Kitchenaid all the way for me. I had dreamed of one ever since I was a little girl and I know it will last forever.

Kitchenaid for sure!  My grandma has one that's for sure older than me, I have to ask her how old it is, but it still works as well as the first day she got it and she uses it ALL the time.

I personally have a Kitchenaid and I love it. You can buy all sorts of attachments for it, too, and it's really worth the space it takes up on the counter. There are all sorts of things (like marshmallows, icing, sauces) that I make from scratch with my Kitchenaid that I never made myself with other mixers. I recommend it!

    Hope that helps!

I would also recommend investing in a KitchenAid stand mixer.  My better half is a research-tech. geek who scoured all the consumer reports to determine which stand mixer processor was the best on the market and KitchenAid by far, was the only brand that had the best technology/motor power in it's industrial-strength engine and the least amount of consumer complaints.  We finally purchased a red KitchenAid stand mixer at Costco during the Thanksgiving holiday sale. However, I would also recommend the Cuisinart food processor, which I also personally own.  The only complaint about Cuisinart is that they have subpar customer service support.

I too have a KitchenAid mixer, and I LUV it!  I don't have any experience with a Cuisinart, so have nothing bad to say about them.  But if I were to do it all over again, I'd still go with the Kitchenaid

My step mom, the best cook I know, has a kitchenaid mixer and cuisinart food processor.  She's had them for YEARS and swears by them.  I have the mixer already, but I'm going to register for the food processor.  But I think the answer is to mix and match brands to fit YOUR needs.

I love my KitchenAid stand mixer and my Cuisinart food processor/blender.  For the stand mixer, go KitchenAid!  There's a reason it is the mixer in every kitchen on the Food Network!
