Things are finally slowing down a bit and it is time for us to finally start thinking about re-doing our kitchen!!!
We live in a very small <600 sq.ft appartment in a building that we own (the rest of the building is our coffee shop and a music store) Our kitchen in ity bitty and I am trying to think of ways to conserve as much counterspace as humanly possible. So my question for you is:
How small is too small for a kitchen sink?
We curently have a 36 inch wide double bowl kitchen sink and only 30 inches of counter space which simply will not do. I am looking at some 15″ and 20″ wide sinks online but I feel they might be too small to wash actuall dishes in. Any thoughts bees?

I’m assuming you won’t have a dishwasher and will need to do all the dishes by hand–correct? In our last apartment before we bought our house, we had a 20″ sink and frankly it drove me crazy. I felt like there were constantly dishes piling up because it was so small it only held a few things. I do cook a lot though. If you don’t cook very often, it might not be an issue.

correct we do not have a dish washer. and we do cook. I will keep that in mind. I would like to think that a 20 inch sink would do okay but looks like we will be heading towards the 25

i go with the standard kitchen sink. you don’t have a dishwasher so i think that you would struggle with washing pots and pans in something smaller.
i think they also make cutting boards to go over sinks if you need more prep space.
