I've been engaged to my FI for nearly a year, when we got engaged I got a pink sapphire solitaire ring...which unfortunately got mangled when I had an accident at work. Jewelers advised me it wasn't worth repairing.

Since then I've had a solitare diamond ring but with my birthday coming up I've been looking at jewelery on Etsy, and the ring above by Michelle Chang Jewelery really leapt out at me...

Both myself and FI ADORE cats... and he was devestated when his Merlin, the cat he'd rescued and had for 17 years, died 2 days after we became a couple. He's always called me his 'kitty' and we are adopting two semi-feral kittens soon.

He loves this ring and is more than happy for me to wear it as an e-ring. And I will still be a bit traditional, as the eyes are diamonds! :-D

Oooohhhhh, I LOVE the ring! Its soo pretty & I think it would be really sweet as your e-ring with your story of cats & how you became his kitty! :-) As long as you love it, that is all that matters. & When people ask if its your e-ring you have this sweet story to tell them about both your & your FI's love of cats & how you became his "kitty!" :')

I know it probably seems a bit weird (and even possibly juvenile) to some, but I like the unusual.

That ring is SO ADORABLE. I know we get offended on here with words like 'cute' and 'adorable', but I seriously squealed when I saw it. What a sweet story and seriously, that ring is just...so adorable. It's almost like you have a friend on your finger to watch you all day!! I just love it. Any picutres of it on your hand? LOVE IT.

I live in the UK and the ring is coming from the USA...it's on it's way and should hopefully be here any day now!
