Oh wow! You look great in that dress!!! I've never had a fitting there, but when I got my dress fitted I was told to bring my shoes and undergarments that I would be wearing that day so they can make sure everything is where it is supossed to be. Good luck!!!!!
I bought my dress at Kleifeld's and chose to have my alterations done at Ellen's Couture (per Mrs. Trail Mix and Mrs. Pug's reviews). She has been VERY timely, GREAT craftsmanship and just wonderful to work with. So far I had my bachelorette dress altered and my mother's dress for the wedding altered there too now. I'd recommend going during the week if possible (open till 7). It's on the Upper West Side and a very pleasant, personal, relaxed experience.
Not cheap, but not exuberant. I'm paying $315 for a bustle, hem, bra holder, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Kleinfelds would have been at least $600.
hi! i had my first fitting at kleinfeld on tuesday and it went great. i had josephine who was totally sweet and patient. she has a lot of ideas on how to improve the dress or fix any minor issues that you see with it. it was a really nice experience and not as stressful as i thought it'd be. it was fun seeing all the other brides too and chatting about our upcoming weddings. i think it'll all be fine...don't worry!
I had my first fitting there on Saturday with Alma. She was a real pro - as soon as I had my dress on, she told me what she thought needed work. Once I agreed she started pinning. They really know what they are doing there.

I got the call last week that my dress is in! Now I just need to pay off the balance and schedule my fittings. HAs anyone had their alterations done there? What's it like? I'm kinda nervous. I think I've been watching too much SYTTD. :p
