Dressilyme and Jasmine’s Bridal. There’s a thread in the dress forum for replica dresses, although it’s mainly Jasmine’s. Dressilyme does good work, though it’s hard to find many reviews. I had a few brides PM me about their dresses/bridesmaids dresses when I was considering going that route rather than bridal store Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. I just ordered four Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from Dressilyme.

I think the alterations would depend on how much you were having done…if you had a huge ball gown and needed it hemmed with lots of layers then yes, what style dress were you looking into?

@angcamp84:  Recommend Jasmines Bridal Shop.  Just do a search and you will find a post that is now at PART VI.  Lots of stories, real photos and photos of the actual dresses on the Bees who have ordered them.

If you decide to go with Jasmines, then post on the main thread so we can all follow.  Jasmines is more expensive, but the end result, in my opinion is better.  Depends on what you want and what your expectations are for quality and level of replication.  In the end, you will not get a 100% match, because it is a replica, regardless of which company you choose, but with Jasmines it is much, much closer.

Having the gown made for you (they do custome measurements only) means that the proportion of the gown is in keeping with your height.  I am slightly taller, but only just 5’1″ and I find that this aspect is really important for me as I am also short waisted.

Good luck with your search.
