So I am known to over analyze, but before now I have never seen any clues about my man getting me a ring. Someone please tell me if I am over analyzing or maybe he is doing what I HOPE he is doing...

Sunday, I had a girls day with my sister-in-law, he was over at his mom's helping them with things. Then out of the blue he calls me at 4 and says that he is heading to the city and that he wanted to go see a movie (He rarely ever sees a movie without me, unless it is known that it is going to bloody and gory) and that it started at 6. I asked if I could come along cause my sis was going to be leaving soon to cook dinner for my brother. He said that he didn't know. I was ok with it, until I asked what he was going to do up until his movie I mean that's 2 hours. He said that it was none of my business (not in a mean way, you could tell he was definitely cheesy smiling). Then I asked well then do you mind stopping by my place to give me a smooch and of course he did. Then he left.... after his movie he got back and was texting his mom, now usually he lets me see everything he and his mom type to each other but not this time, then he deleted all the messages. And started letting me see what they started typing afterward....

Now am I over analyzing or does it sound like he went shopping???

Part of me says "ooh ooh ring shopping!" but then the other part says "you overanalyzed your engagement stuff 02348 times." I'd say don't get your hopes up, that way it will be a pleasent surprise. :)

Oh he totally went shopping!! But the hard part is: did he buy or was this just the first of many scouting trips? I found out my boyfriend was shopping over 2 weeks ago and got SUPER excited because I thought that shopping = buying. Then I found out that he's still in the "saving" stage and was just scouting out how much he'd need. Which means I may be waiting forever.

So I guess, yay for the fact that you're getting engaged! But buckle your seatbelt because it may be a long ride until you get the ring :)

Hmm...that's suspicious behavior.  But try to not think about it (I say that like a rational woman, but really, I'm not) and let it just happen.  If there's one thing I've learned in the waiting boards is that even if he has the ring it doesn't mean you will get it immediately.

    Good luck!

Oh buckwheatis I'll kill him if he's trying to get a rise out of you. Go get a good laugh and read what I posted on the other thread about the comment my boyfriend told me last night regarding proposing... I pray that your guys head is no where near my guys!! My fingers are crossed for you! Yay!

I know it's hard, but I would try to get your mind off of it. It's so much more fun when it's a surprise!

Watch movies til you can't stand it anymore! That's what I do when I'm trying to distract myself and it works most of the time!

I've been reading the Twilight series of books... (don't judge me). hehe. Sooo good.  They've been keeping me pretty distracted!  I need the distraction, I have been wedding-brained for the past month!  I just wish I knew when he was going to buy it...!

@ Blueshoes2 I don't pass judgement on Twilight readers, I've read all them 7 times each!! Now I'm reading the Queens Fool by Philippa Gregory it's really good so far. I need more to distract me. I certainly can't read the Twilight Saga again LOL.

P.S. When you finish you should try The Host by Stephenie Meyer, it's not like the Twilights but she is such a fabulous writer!! :o)

Glad to hear you are such a Twilight fan too! Have you read the partial draft of "Midnight Sun" on Stephanie Meyer's webpage?  Apparently, it's written from Edward's perspective.  I won't read it until I'm done with the whole series (I'm on Eclipse right now!)

Ya I read it when it was first leaked. I liked it but it felt like reading Twilight again.

Ya I would really like to read the Time Travelers Wife too! I think it sounds interesting. :o)

@Blueshoes2 if you like the Vampire Books I have a lot of other good book suggestions. Such as: Blue Bloods, Vampire Diaries, The Night Worlds, and Vampire Beach. And if you think Magic is neat to read the series Wicked (not Greggory Maguires Wicked it's a 4 book series), and then there's the series Witch (It has Season Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring)

Thanks for the suggestions!  I may have to try some of those :)  I'd also like to read the books True Blood on HBO is based off of... my bf is obsessed with that show, and thanks to him, I've been watching it on Sundays with him now too!

I didn't know True Blood was based off a book, who's the author? I would really like to read those! I don't have HBO so I've never seen the show but I was thinking about getting Season 1 off of Netflix :o)

They're written by Charlaine Harris, it's a set of 7 books called the Sookie Stackhouse Series .  Here's a link to the whole set: http://www.amazon.com/Sookie-Stackhouse-Books-Charlaine-Harris/dp/0441017770/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1252069093&sr=8-1

I want to start reading them!  I may have to order at least the first one (Dead until Dark is the name of the first one I think).
