It would be nice to incorporate the Shinto style sake drinking from one cup to symbolize the union. We will do that since my husband is Japanese.
I also think it would be nice if you could incorporate the tradional Japanese obi as a table runner. Maybe for decor.

I'm full Korean and my FI is Japanese/Caucasian. We wanted subtle ways to incorporate our cultures for our wedding without going over the top. We definitely don't want this to become a Asian-themed wedding. So far, we have decided to do the origami cranes (Japanese) and considered giving Korean rice cakes as wedding favors. We're considering doing the paebaek ceremony during cocktail hour, but a lot of it depends on whether or not there's an appropriate place at the reception venue (I'll check the details next month). Any other suggestions?
Thanks for your help!
