How many kusudamas do people think I’d need to make for a bouquet? I’m thinking one for me and a smaller one for each of my 2 bridesmaids, with my flowergirls carrying something else (maybe pinwheels?) but I don’t want to put it to Mr CL to see if he likes it until I’ve figured out if it’s feasible!

Hmmm…I’ve been making those too and I’m mixing different kinds of paper flowers for my centerpieces. I found that 17 mixed of rolled roses, accordion and kudasama flowers made a full centerpiece. Hope that helps a little!

hundreds. i did mine, my moh and ones for both my daughters. i have fairly large bouquets though but still depending on the size of paper you use. still a whole lot. it took me over a month to do them all and im a atay at home mom 🙂

I don’t really know, as I haven’t made mine yet but I’m going to take a stab at it anyway!
I’m guessing this one has around 20 and they’re made of maps!
I’d also estimate about 20 for this one, but they’re different sizes andsome are colored paper and some are book paper
This one is mixed and it looks like about 7 kusudama flowers and maybe 5 paper roses. I think this one looks a bit sparse.
I lvoe this one as it looks really full and has a variety of papers used but it’s all paper roses and I’d estimate about 40 of them

I am doing these in m centerpieces and for our bouquets. I have all of the paper I need and then some but my issue is trying to figure out what sizes to make the flowers. A lot of bouquets have the same sizes and some have different sizes. My FI likes the ones with different sizes because it gives more depth. But I have seen them made with 3*3 petals and up to 6*6 petals. Any idea which way you guys will go?

@baileysbride2be: I made these flowers for my wedding. I used different sized flowers and the best advice I have for you is just to experiment with different sizes until you get the look you are going for. You also have to make sure the size ratio isn’t too different or the flowers won’t fit well together for the bouquet. Sorry if this doesn’t help much.
Here is a picture of mine they are 7x7cm for the little flowers and 8.5×8.5cm.
