I think we should give us L.A. bee's another try for a GTG.
After the last round, it seemed Downtown would be the best location and Sunday Afternoon fit in most of our schedule...
What do you all think about doing lunch Downtown (rec's please! I'm a valley girl!) on August 24? Lets say around 12 noon?

ohh downtown! that would be great! there is a few places, although I have not been there personally they could be good choices.

Ah, fear not Mr. Mango - we'll indoctrinate you without TOO much pain :)
I can't make it but can make a suggestion for location...The Daily Grill! It opened a couple of years ago and is oh so tasty. Also, drinks on top of the Standard might be fun after lunch. Expensive but great ambiance! Have fun!!

Just a note:
Parking can be a pain in Downtown LA. It's either valet parking or find street parking.
I know that CPK validates for 3 hours in the Ernst & Young Parking Lot.
hmmm good point... anything near one of the metro stops?
I usually take the subway from universal when i go downtown....
I vote for CPK, its cheaper than the rest, they validate parking and the Metro station is on that corner as well. On 7th and Figueroa.
Ladies, let me and Mr. Mango know the final time and day so we can let some other bees know too!

Next time some other good/reasonable priced places are Pitfire Pizza or 410 Boyd.

Not sure exactly when I'll make the reservations but you know how these things go, we get a few last minute cancelations, or a few suprise show ups, its all works out! (and we its not like we can't pull up an extra chair)

Just got off the phone with CPK and they don't take reservations :e( but the hostess on the phone said we should have no problem being seatted. Yes I did tell her we have a large group of bridezillas.
