NWR but I totally got woken up by the 4.4 earthquake this morning at 4 am!  I woke up my FI for fear that it was going to get stronger... but it died down pretty quickly thank goodness!  Talk about a rude awakening!!  Undecided

i heard about it from my friend who felt it... she said it was enough to make her want to create a self-help earthquake survival kit!

Yeah, it woke me up an hour early. FI ran into the doorway (we don't even have a table safe to get under at our place--all glass tops), but I was so tired I just pulled the comforter over my head in case the window broke--it was rattling like CRAZY and made me think the quake was a lot bigger than it was!

There was an earthquake this morning?  LOL

We're up in Ventura County though my LO did wake me up at 4:30 and I don't know why.  Perhaps it had something to do with that.

it was my first one since moving here. It was enough to wake me up out of bed. I'm seriously regretting renting 2012 last weekend, as that was all i could think of at 4am. Thankfully i was able to fall back asleep!

Yikes! I've only felt tiny tiny eathquakes! I think a big one would freak me out.

Slept right through it. They usually wake me but I guess I was in a deep sleep then. Last year, we had a whole bunch of them in the South Bay. Really freaked out the kitten.

I slept right through it, too.  My cousin in Cerritos felt it enough to wake & comment about it on FB...was it a big one?  Where was "ground zero" for it?

I think they said near pico rivera. That is near where I work. My coffee cup fell and broke, but nothing major.

I slept through it. As usual.

When the big earthquake hit in 94? I slept right through that one too! I'm a heavy sleeper :p

Slept right through it, which is shocking since I'm usually a light sleeper/insomniac.  A true testament to how exhausting wedding planning can be!

I didn't feel it, and slept right through it.  Then again the epicenter was in Pico Rivera and I'm in the San Fernando Valley, so it was quite a ways away.  I just hope the no more come our way.

I was sound asleep and felt the jolt--with all the big earthquakes going on everywhere I was thinking "oh no, this is the big one" haha. It was over before I was able to get to the doorway but i felt it enough to wake up.

I slept through the whole thing.  I woke up this morning and FI was watching TV.  All I could hear was "News Flash 4.4 Earthquake in So Cal"  I looked at him and said "There was an earthquake lastnight?"

Yes!  And let me tell you living alone during early morning earthquakes like this one was absolutely horrible (my husband and I live 35 minutes apart for work reasons while looking for a house).

At first I thought it was paranormal activity (I watch too many movies).

Lived here all my life and I'll never get used to these.  Eeeek!!!

Yup! it scared the heck out of me! I was home alone since FI works at 1am so I jumped up, grabbed the cat and herded the dogs to the doorway. I kinda felt stupid though since in the time it took me to get to the door the shaking had stopped.  My dog Bella just looked at me like "you woke me for this? Really?"

It woke me up and I couldn't figure out what was going on due to sleepiness and having never experienced an earthquake before. Crazy!

Nope! We live in Placentia and didn't feel a thing!  But dh and I are working on our earthquake/end of world survival kit (we've been watching too many end of world movies/ documentaries lately for some reason)

My mom called earlier to ask if we felt it, and we were like "What earthquake?"  LOL.  Wasn't on the radio, and I have a 40 minute drive, so it couldn't have been really bad.  Our dog slept through it too!

    stripes    September 2010

The earthquake went something like this in Stripe land:

A terrified F Stripes: Baby wake up there's an earthquake

    Me: mmm.

And then I rolled over and pulled the covers over my head.

    LOL.

glad it wasn't "the big one"

I woke up, screamed and then couldn't go back to sleep for the rest of the morning. I was so tired that day. :(
