Violetta Meyners did mine in LA. I can give you her facebook page if you want. She was Fabulous, and so helpful and sweet the day of. She was like having another maid of honor.

I also am head over heels for my florist. I had a $3,000 budget for my flowers and he BLEW me away with how he transformed my venue into the most amazing space EVER. Let me know if you still need a florist!

    Meredith Lovegrove... she is amazing.

    http://meredithlovegrove.com/

She did my makeup (and hair) and Mr. S's, our MOH, and my mom, so if you need some examples you can look at some of my recaps!

    good luck finding someone!

I have the absolute best makeup artist! She will be doing my makeup next year and recently did my friend's makeup for her wedding. Her name is Kelly and she works alongside Trish McEvoy but is also freelance. If you would like her information, please let me know! She works at the Trish McEvoy counter at Saks in Beverly Hills and Nordstrom at The Grove if you ever wanted to stop by and meet her. I'm not sure what she charges but she is absolutely wonderful and so pleasant to work with.

I am also looking for a great makeup artist - preferably someone in the Westlake Village area or who will travel there.

A friend of mine used Blushing Bridal http://www.blushingbridalmakeup.com/.  I'm looking into using her too.

I was going to go to an artist that specialized in the "vintage pin-up girl" look and my co-worker told me to find a picture of what I wanted on-line and take it to a MAC artist.  The MAC girl knew exactly what my vision was.  It was the best advice I got.

The deal with MAC is you spend $50 on products and they'll do your make-up for "free".  I was very happy with the end result (and I didn't do a first-run either so I was very relieved).  The other artist was going to charge $75 and I wouldn't have the extras.

Two downsides of going this route is that you have to go to the mall itself.  I don't think they'll come to you.  You do have to make a reservation way ahead of time and check back because sometimes they don't know their schedules too far in advance.

I don't know what your budget is but I just thought I would throw that out there.

    Congrats and have fun!!!

I had an amazing makeup artist (did hair too).  Something Blue Stylists (somethingbluestylists.com)  They are based out of OC but definitely travel.  I cant even tell you how awesome they are - I booked them for my wedding (Andrea and Shayna) and then my SIL booked them for hers and my BM booked them for hers after they had their hair and makeup done at my wedding.  VERY reasonably priced as well.

@Halloween, there are MAC artists at the shops who freelance on their days off and they will come to you but you have to arrange it.

My makeup/hair was done by Annie at Oscar Wedding Group.   I should have had a before and after because I look totally different after my transformation. She specializes in doing Asian makeup and hair and honestly I have never met anyone as talented as she is.  She can come to the wedding site on the day of the wedding or you can get your makeup/hair done cheaper at the wedding shop on the day of the wedding in Temple City, CA.

Judie Tallman, judiehairandmakeup.com, I go for my trial this Sunday for our engagement shoots.  I've seen her in action though, she's done my MOHs wedding make up and it was great, she travels to you and is very professional and does air brush too.  I just hope you and I don't have the same date, since she's already booked for 3/27.

@ Ember ~ Thanks! That's good to know and makes sense.

Shout out to hhcheung for the TC mention, that's where I grew up (and got married). :)

I'm using Caitlin Murphy. She just moved here from Boston. I have several friends back there that have used her. They have all been super happy.

My trial came out absolutely beautiful. I felt like she really listened and cared. Super sweet girl and talented artist
