Are you okay w/ driving to OC?  I highly recommend Liberty Diamonds in Irvine- they designed my e-ring perfectly!  Ask for Cristina.

We got my engagement ring from Icing on the Ring in Downtown LA. They are amazing! I had a hard time articulating what it was I wanted but somehow they were able to custom make exactly what I was looking for.

We went to Eli Jeweler in LA Jewelry District. We actually also went to Icing on the Ring and other places that were well reviewed on yelp, but they all tried to push us into buying their diamond (when we already bought one from bluenile)… but Eli brothers were SOoooo easy and cool to work with. We’re gonna go back for our wedding bands soon. Their prices were totally cheap and awesome too. Try them out!

I would NOT recommend Icing on the Ring, as @soexcitedtobegettingmarried.  I ordered a ring with 20 small stones.  They switched tags and made me a ring with 17 smaller stones, then tried to tell me I was confused.  Though I’ve had several conversations about the fact they made me the wrong ring, they won’t honor the original purchase, and I now have a ring that’s not what we paid for.

I second the recommendation for Eli’s Jewelry. I didn’t end up getting any of my rings from there, but they showed us some custom design work they did and it was STUNNING. Really high quality stuff and they seemed to put a lot of thought into matching the engagement rings with the wedding bands. Craftsmanship was really top notch!

Head to Pasadena Gold Company (NE corner of Green St and Mentor (just east of Lake Ave and south of Colorado Blvd).  The owner has been in business for 20+ years and knows his stuff.  He’s made tons of jewelry for friends – set stones and created my e-ring (and will custom make my band).  Prices are fair, he’ll give you a clear picture of what’s available vs. price, and he’s great to work with.  Definitely worth taking your e-ring in to get his recommendations.

I got my ring from 23rd Street Jewelers in Santa Monica – they have lots of stuff there for you to look at but also make tons of custom stuff.

We got our wedding bands made by Omni Diamonds in downtown LA. Bruce, the owner, is great and can custom design anything. He is very detailed and will make sure you are satisfied. You can tell him Sally referred you. He will take very good care of you.
