I'm currently considering La Jolla cove Suites for my wedding ceremony and reception. They allow outside caterers and have reasonable fees.

I've seen very little on the web regarding pictures and reviews as a wedding site. I've checked tripadvisor and the reviews of the hotel are EXTREME. Either hate it or love it.

I'm hoping somebody out there may have some info or has been to a wedding there. I'm hoping to at least use the rooftop for the ceremony and, possibly as a cheaper hotel venue for some of our OOT guest and maybe getting a nicer one for some other guests who'd prefer a more modern, newer feel hotel.

Feedback is awesome. preferably at my amy77jc@yahoo.com, or you can respond on my blog  or here too

Stayed there about 7 years ago.  The rooms weren't that great, but the view was nice.  I recall being able to hear the sea lions from our ocean view room.

A good friend of mine just recently had her wedding there. The view was absolutely beautiful, but the parking was TERRIBLE! My fiance and I drove around for over 45 minutes looking for parking. Finally we ended up paying $15 to park and we missed the ceremony. My parents were there for the ceremony and they said that you could barely hear anything because there was some band playing in the grass area across the street and they wouldn't stop for the 15 minute ceremony even though they were supposed to. It is a nice venue if you don't want your guests to be crammed but the long skinny rooftop also makes it hard for the reception to feel intimate. The view was absolutely gorgeous, but I am not sure if it is really worth it with all of the other trouble involved. As a guest, it definitely was kind of annoying (and upsetting) that I had to pay $15 for parking just to miss the ceremony (even though we left with plenty of time to get there). Just go check it out and see what you think. Good luck!!!
