After hearing rave reviews from friends about lamer face cream I wanted to check out what the hive thought of it..

I'm tempted to go to saks and buy an ounce considering my wedding is in June and it is fast approaching. I've heard nothing but great reviews about this so called face cream that was invented by a male scientist.

So do you think its worth the price??

Absolutely not! I tried a sample of creme de le mer, and while it was a fabulous face cream it definitely wasn't any better than the stuff I get at Bliss spa for $75.

I used La Mer for about 2 years before I recognized that I was a starving grad student and couldn't afford to be spending that kind of money on face cream. (I have a typical Asian family that's obsessed with skincare, so it seemed like a good idea at the time!) It was good, but not so great that the $$$ is worth it. I had just as good results with Yonka and even Kiehls or Murad or Jurlique. Honestly, I'm now using Oil of Olay serum with Kiehls lotion with sunscreen (the only non-drugstore brand with mexoryl), and it's working just fine.

Then again, if you want a wedding splurge, this could be a fun one . . .
