Hi Lovely Ladies,
I need help figuring out if I should sweetheart my dress or not. We are going for a touch of Great Gatsby-esk (girls in navy long satin, rish colours, simple lines, old brick building). I am having floor length veil for the ceremony and then taking it off for the reception. My hair will be up and I will have the sparkle belt in the pic (but with out the feathers underneith). I will be wearing dropped earrings and no necklace. And I am working on my shoulder and arm muscles 🙂 HELP!!!!!!! What are the pros and cons with sweatheart or straight for my body type? What would look best?

@Making84: I’d alter the neckline to a sweetheart. That’s a beautiful dress!! Your arms look fine!!

Do a sweetheart! I had a straight top like that, and I regret not changing it.

@Making84: sweetheart (almost) always! I would def change it! I think it adds femininty and romance without looking crass. Loved my sweetheart and it was def a change I had planned to make on other dresses that didnt make the cut in the end.

@Making84: I’m voting for a sweetheart, too!

Gorgeous dress–I think it would be even better with a sweetheart or modified sweetheart!

I always prefer sweetheart… you could always make it more angular or something for something a little different… like this one:
