First, let me preface this with the fact that I've been attempting to find a venue for almost three months and have researched well over 100 places from Santa Barbara to San Diego (and even some in Lake Tahoe where I'm from).
To say the least, it's been awful. I finally found something I was semi-happy with and we were ready to move forward when suddenly we stumbled upon our dream come true - THE BUNGALOW CLUB.
If you're thinking about a wedding in LA and want something non-traditional with tons of personality and amazing food at an even more AMAZING PRICE then you have to check it out. (We're having 250 people and we were able to work it out within about $25,000!!!)
On top of everything the owner, Anat, is RESPONSIVE, ACCOMMODATING and FRIENDLY, which in my experience has been rare. She gave me cell number on first conversation and responds to my numerous emails immediately.
I cannot recommend them enough. We are signing our final papers with them on Thursday! YAY!!!

@ briannie - nope, we'll have to tell Jeremy when he's back from vacation. We were actually ready to sign the contract but he took a week to call me back and we found this during that time. However, I still do like the betty reckas a lot. If anything falls through (dear god i hope not!) then I'll be there. :)
@danathebride - I'm going to send you a PM and we can chat it up. I've been crazy meticulous with the contract just for that reason. I freaked when I first saw it and it was only like two pages. hahaha!

I had the same trouble and the same revelation duing my initial planning!

Word to the wise - make sure everything you wanted is in the contract. She's honest, but she does forget things.
