Am I a FAIL Bride because i don't keep much of an idea of what still needs doing or what needs doing by a set date?
I am finishing up my invitations and planning to send them. Trying to force my FI to finally pick a suit or I will (and he won't like it cause we have different tastes in such things!) Need to do the finishing touches on my sailboat table numbers (SO excited about them! Even more then the invites!) and, ummm...other stuff. You know, stuff.... ;p Oh- I need to put together the cake/pie stands/plates I am making from Goodwill finds (fiestaware on silver candle sticks to bring pops of color to the pie buffet!). Sometime soon I need to start on the DIY gifts for the BMs and GMs. And I need to hire a DOC because I am in a SERIOUS panic over day-of craziness. Oh, and I need to move ALL my wedding piles from our office/2nd bedroom somewhere else since my brother is moving in temporarily (yay free wedding labor! I plan to make him work for his free room and board! ;p ).
I wasn't really planning on a certain month either. That's what I can think iof that need to be done ASAP. lol. Of course the knot's checklist helps me cheat a little (not much though since it's pretty genaric). ; )
Lol. The Knot's checklist gives me stress ulcers! I have sOOOoooo many Red clocks! Makes me feel craz behind even though I normally feel like I'm doing ok (except for the Fi's suit dilemma!). Glad that checklist is helping someone! :D
I made lists per month so that I don't stress as much.
For June I'm making a card box (I need ideas!), wedding this way signs, buying our marriage licence (eeee!!) and doing a site check with my caterer.
It might be a busy one for me!
We are finishing up our invites, picking out the guys tuxes, first dress fitting, finishing up our registry... probably a lot of other things too, but that's what comes to mind right now :)
I have the knot too and those damn alarm clocks are making me crazy. 104 more things to do this month! EEKK! We're planning a sonoma wedding from tokyo in 6 months though so i guess i asked for it!

I agree on the stress inducing nature of the Knot checklist and those lovely red clocks. Even moreso the fact that it counts completed items in the count of overdue ones!
Based on what you ladies have outstanding, and the fact that my wedding is just a couple weeks later, I feel good about where I am at. I have the same items outstanding and a few others that you have all probably completed. :o)
I'm not doing too bad with the little red clocks-I need to book our hotel room and find tables & chairs. But I should have those done in the next coupe weeks. I just scheduled my first dress fitting for the 24th...I can't wait to put it on again! = D And we got my FI and 2 of the GM's fitted for tuxes while we were in Portland. Only 3 more guys need to get fitted!
A couple of upcoming things for us will be ordering the flowers, booking the hotel, buying our Truce bell, and pikcing the GM gifts. = )
Ahhh! Everytime I feel like I've crossed 100 things off the list it seems there's a million more to do! We tried finalizing the guest list last night so that we can finally order invites and have the envelopes printed but FMIL keeps adding people!!! I love her but - c'moooooon!!!
The list definitely seems to be growing instead of shrinking.
I am feeling pretty okay about it right now, but I doubt I will feel that way a few weeks before.
we need transportation! and we mail out invites next week! *gulp*
i also need to buy my veil and accessories. and delegate day of stuff to someone but other than that.... we are actually done.
oh and crap @barista - you reminded me i have to buy my truce bell too! darn it!
The one with the cladugah (I know I spelled THAT wrong!) I wanted is on back order! I'm so sad!
DARN IT ALL - that was one of the ones i was looking for - if i find anything i will send you a message :)
Please do! A lot of the bells I find are the tiny ones that got on Favors. = (
Get tuxes,
finish fittings for dress
do invites for shower and wedding, get em out!
favors for the shower need to finish being put together
compose non-floral centerpieces,
decide on exact boquet (ALL the flowers I like are not in season :( )
Find a house
FI still needs to tell his last groomsman that, he wants him in the wedding, he hasnt made up his mind (I give up, if he holds it off too long, he'll have 2 guys and I'll have 3 gals, whatever.)
Make a seating chart! '

I'm getting my dress altered this month, firming up contract with vendors, finalizing florals, and starting to go crazy on my DIY projects
idk! ive got to get the rest of my rsvps, gotta meet with the florist, dj, ceremony muscian, co ordinator at the location.. do escort cards, programs.. bridesmaids dont have shoes.. 2 of them dont even have plane tickets yet.. kinda freaking out, thought i was on top of it... for music and flowers i know whats going on, but my maids are freakin me out! im kinda crappin my pants! my first fitting went great, first she said dont lose any wieght then realized my dress needed to be takin in like and inch and half then she goes and tells me not to gain any! glad i was pms at the time! its just alotta loose ends right now, and not gonna lie, kinda freakin out. oh and my love hasnt told his step bro hes the best man! wt??i feel like somehow i havent been paying attention.. oopsy.

I get to go pick up my dress, set up a meeting with our officiant to talk about the ceremony, get all of the guys fitted for their tuxes, and possibly start my fittings among a few others. How about you?
