I made some changes to my dress after feeling a lot of dress regret. I loved my dress but it didn’t have the sparkle that I really wanted when I started looking at dresses. So I pulled out my thread and needle and some beads and went to work.
I added beading, beaded lace trim around the neckline for added modesty, added buttons down the back, sewed the shoulder things back, and my mom and I hemmed it. I didn’t do that much but I’ve made a dress I loved into the absolute perfect dress.
It’s kinda hard to tell in pictures but I wanted to share anyways!
Before, if you look close you can see that my bra was showing at the bottom of the v-neck.
Close up of some of the beading.

@Purple_Possum: I think the changes look great, and I love that your dress went from a beautiful dress to your perfect dress. 🙂 I think that makes it all the more meaningful (esp. since it was you and your mum who worked on it together).

Thanks everyone! I’m glad the changes are noticable, haha.
@Shina: Here’s an oddly lit picture of the back of the dress, but at least you can see the buttons! I have since added a couple more just so they go all the way to the end of the zipper line.

I love all of the changes you made — especially the addition of the lace trim at the neckline!

@Brielle: Thanks! We were thinking of just adding netting from what we took off of the hem but the lace is so much better
@BrandNewBride: Thank you!

@Purple_Possum: You did a GREAT job! The back looks perfect, you put just the right amount of buttons on there. I can’t wait till you share pics from your wedding day, with all this extra care & detailing you put into your dress it’s super special 😉
