I still feel like we have a ton to do!
- printing programs
- finalizing the seating chart
- making place cards
- folding menus
- putting favors together
- wrapping everyone's gifts
- doing OOT bags
- writing bios for our wedding party intros
and I think that's just the top of the list!
Good luck everyone!!
I'm feeling the crunch! The programs are printed, just need to be assembled. The place cards are done and so are the seating assignments. Table numbers, check. Favors, check. Gifts, check. OOT bags - which we a big pain in the you know what - are also done. I think I mostly need to focus on communication. I want to finish my timeline for the day of this weekend and send it to vendors and the wedding party. I think that will help. Right now, I feel like no one knows what is going on when expect for me! Yikes.
I'm excited, but also a little bit nervous. I can't believe my wedding day will be here and gone before I know it. I guess it's "bittersweet." I keep trying to remind myself that "it's just another day" but it's hard to not want it all perfect when you've been dreaming about this day since you were five!
Congrats all you bees!
Hey Ladies!
15 days to go for the 9/5 ladies :)!! Woohoo! I cannot wait. I still have a bit to do but I am not stressed at all. This weekend will be spent organizing things, my bachelorette party tomorrow and hair & makeup trials on Sunday.
Just remember to breathe and don't sweat the small stuff!
How are we doing ladies?? I am finishing place cards tonight and favors with my mom tomorrow :) I'm doing my best to make my timeline "idiot proof" aka man proof, so I gave it to my 16 year old brother to proofread for me, and I think he actually figured it out. So, a few more tweaks and everyone will know, who, what, when, where, etc. No why - that's the BECAUSE I SAID SO!
I am getting there pvaulter! I will do a few things during the week but this weekend is do or die with finishing things up. :)
I'm the most stressed about the fact that we are packing up and leaving this Friday since I live in Boston and the wedding is in Philly. I'm so worried we're going to leave something! We have an ongoing list of things to bring, and have started suitcases and piles of stuff by the door, but it still makes me nervous.
I'm really happy I have the other stuff done - even wrapped bridal party gifts and wrote notes already! We are going to assemble OOT bags (50 of them!) in Philly, and print directions for the guests there, but then we're really all set. I think? I'm just waiting for that one last thing to pop up that I totally forgot about. What could I be forgetting?
To those of you with a lot left on your list - enlist help! I has a bridesmaid help me assemble programs this weekend, and it was actually fun. Of course, we rewarded ourselves generously with wine afterward...
I'm September 19 but thought I would borrow this thread
1.finalize head count--have one more friend left; one friend is on-off with BF, and one aunt sad she'll come then backed out because of family drama, so I have to convince her
2.finalize place-cards-they are all done, just have to deduct if people dont make it
3.finalize seating plan--get with it people, tell me NOW, I'm a busy bride, people!!
4.final fitting
not much left
other stuff one week before and last minute stuff
1. pre-cana
2. get key to the aprtmant I'm renting for family
3. pick up family from airport
4. meet with priest
5. rehearsal
6. rehearsal dinner
7. do flowers one day before
8. drop off stuff in hotel
9. confirm all vendors 1 week before and go over final plan--video, DJ, photog, car driver, shuttle, hair stylist
I think I'm good
if I have time:
get more new shoes for trousseau/honeymoon
get my FI ring engraved
hang out with my friends last time before getting married
Oh you all seem like you have it together!
I'm TOTALLY stressed out. SO many last minute things to do, nevermine the logistics of trying to get everyone where they need to be, and communicating it to them. (BM last night: "Oh yea, I saw your email, but it was really long, so I said I'd go back later and look, but I didn't")
Cant believe the day is almost here...trying not to break out into a cold sweat...lol
oh my goodness...I'm a little a stressed. Here are the big projects left
Programs
Escort Cards
Menus
Table Numbers
Table seating
Luckily, a lot of them are just printing and then cutting so nothing too complicated. I just can't believe it is coming so fast!
Here's my list:
-make 5 more BM/mother gifts (4 are already done)
-escort cards
-order wine & champagne
-pack OOT bags
-finalize rental items/counts
-final meetings w/ DJ, church, etc.
It doesn't seem like much but of course there are always a million logistical things that go along with every task! I can't wait to finally be married :)
My final project is to finish DIY on the hair flower, then I am done! Of course, I have to organize everything and get it packed up, oh and pack for the FI and myself so we can cram it all into the rental car and make the trip to PA!
I'm feeling fairly calm, but still have some things to finish up...
-confirm floral order / delivery times
-confirm times with photog
-finalize timeline
-finish seating chart
-make escort cards
Only a little longer ladies! :)

Hey ya'll,
Just wanted to see if any other labour day brides are starting to freak out?!!! I have been feeling pretty calm, getting all my little duckies in a row, and completing all my little projects well in advance of the bridesmaids arrival [they're all coming in the Monday before the wedding on the 4th...which is AWESOME, but also, not much gonna get done that isn't already done before that time!]...I've been pretty zen about stuff thus far - had a few DIY things that didn't work out, so I just let them go, not gonna stress. What I find myself stressing about now is, have I asked all the right questions of my vendors? Does everyone know where and when they need to be places? We're getting married at a performing arts college, and the people who own it are old family friends, which is super generous and awesome, but I'm starting to want to confirm things, and I'm nervous they will think I'm being all needy and weird!! The things I'm most stressed out about are making sure the hall is set up completely, and that we have sufficient help to get it all broken down - most likely the next morning. I know I am NOT going to be the one doing that, but my parents are doing so much already [hosting the rehearsal dinner AND day after BBQ, FI doesn't have any family to handle either of those events :[ ] and most of the stuff we're using for decorations is my moms - vases, candles, fabric, etc. We've got some of the students of the college to "strike" the wedding that night, but it's still going to leave all the stuff that needs to go back to my parents house...and I suddenly realized this just turned into a bit of a rant/vent!!! Phew, I guess I'm a little more stressed than I thought!
Originally, we were getting married at a hotel, and part of the package was a DOC...we had to change our plans due to the economy, which has worked out WAAAAAY better, and I'm thrilled with our new location, but MAN I am missing that DOC who could just work magic in the venue, and make it all disappear after we went up to the honeymoon suite!...my brother's girlfriend has agreed to be our DOC, she is super anal retentive about details, and stuff, which is awesome, but the day after stuff she can't do, because my brother is in his best friend's wedding the NEXT day up island from us, and they're leaving first thing in the morning....ok, I feel better having gotten this out. I think I will go brainstorm with some of the WP and see if anyone will be willing to help us out in getting stuff out of the venue and back to my parents, hopefully not my parents, as they are having 50+ people back to their house the day after their daughter gets married [my mom insists this is what she wants, sooooo, there it is!] Ahhh..thanks for listening! Any other Labor Day brides need to get out some stress??!!
