@mailingis: i dont think you should do a thing ; ) your dress is beautiful and i think you look gorgous in your dress. why do you want a bolero? something like this i think would look beautiful

@HisNightOwl2014: thanks so much for all of your suggestions! There are 2 reasons why I'd like a bolero or sleeves. I think the top of my arms look big and I have eczema flare ups so my skin looks red and blotchy sometimes. I'm worried this will happen on the wedding day so I wanted to have a back up plan.
@mailingis: aww i have that on my hands and elbows and my chins ; ( man does it itch lol and i hate the red bloches i use the eczema creams from walgreens its over the counter and works great.
@HisNightOwl2014: sorry to hear you suffer from it too. I've had it since I was a child. It seems to affect everywhere apart from my face! Sometimes my skin can look scabby too if I've been unconsciously scratching in my sleep :-(
I don't want people staring at my skin thinking its horrible on my wedding day!
So you think a nice lace bolero would go with my dress? I was concerned because my dress has no lace on it.
@mailingis: it will look beautiful ; ) i hope you like the ones i found for you Ebay has some really beautiful one for a nice price. i know how you feel about the eczema. just use alot of the creams for it the month before the wedding. your going to look beautiful no matter what
@mailingis: Whatever your reasons I love bolero's, and sleeves. Mainly because there are so many strapless wedding dresses and I'd like to be different! I think i little shear bolero would look great, and you have the option to wear or not as the mood takes you. The shawl HisNightOwl2014 suggested is such a statement. WOW. I love it Though it might hide some of the pretty detail on your bodice. Something lighter such as

or a shorter sleve length may be less likely to distract from your gorgeous dress.
@mailingis: by the way your dress is stunning i love it!
@LilLis: thanks LilLis! I was thinking short sleeve too since long sleeve might take the spotlight away from my dress. I quite like this one but there's not much coverage. It looks quite sheer so not sure if it would hide my eczema if I had some that day.

@mailingis: use the cream a few weeks before your big day it will stop any breakouts thats what i do
@mailingis: Obviously you will need to do whatever makes you most comfortble and you will know what that is, its your wedding day and you should feel fantastic.
But can I just say I suspect that nobody will notice any exma, your dress is stunning, you will have the biggest smile, hair, makeup, veil......they will be so busy looking at YOU the whole picture and any exma will go unoticed. If you still want to cover up for yourself (and why not boleros are soooo pretty) a light lacy one may provide enough distraction to make you comfortable without feeling like its there as a cover up. Then you get to feel like you are simply adding to the beauty of the dress for the fun of it, rather than because you feel you have to because you want to cover the exma. It just puts you back in charge!
Sounds like you need another day shopping to try on lots of different one and see which feels and looks the best.
You could check out alexbridal on etsy. They got many lace bolero styles both short sleeve and long sleeve.

I love your dress. You look gorgeous! :)
I must say your dress is very pretty on you and I think it looks great without but if you are set on a bolero...... I'm thinking that with the texture of your dress that lace might not be the best option.
Ive seen lace with satin and it looks lovely which I think that is what is pictured with the dresses directly above.
I can't tell for sure with your dress but it looks like its organza which looks very light and flowy.....My thoughts are lace isn't gonna work. Any way you can try different ones on with your dress?
I'd day a simple organza one to match your dress
Or you could do an organza one with detail on the sleeves! This one is very pretty!
@weddingbound: Thanks weddingbound! I love lace boleros but I really wasn't sure whether it would go with my dress. I'm not even sure what material my dress is. The corset part is like a matt material (so not satin). The bottom is tulle I think?!
I actually considering buying the 1st bolero that you posted! One of the reviews said the sizes are small so you need to get a bigger size so that's what put me off slightly. I may revist it.
@jansnowdrops: Thanks jansowdrops! I've been stalking the 1st lace bolero by Alex Bridal but not sure if goes with my dress. I live in the UK and she ships from the US so if I need to change sizes I'm going to be wasting money on postage etc. I wish we had a virtual dressing room where you could see what everything looks like together!

Hi Bees,
I am considering a bolero or adding sleeves to my dress. I'm not sure what to do so thought I would consult any fashionistas on here! :-)
Here is my dress:
Will a lace bolero look odd on my non-lace dress?
Can you suggest a bolero that might go?
