I’m trying to decide between having a beaded belt with a ribbon sash that ties in the back or a full beaded belt around the entire waist (no sash tie at all, up charge of about $90). I think the full beaded belt on lace would have a cleaner look but if the ribbon tie is a good alternative then I can save some $.
Does any one have a picture of the back of their lace dress with a sash tied in the back? Or a full beaded belt?
Here is a picture of the back of my dress for reference, except it will be turned into a V back and it will be all ivory
And here is the belt I’m thinking of buying:

Lovely dress! What about a beaded appliqué seen directly on the dress so you have the look of a belt in the front, but it doesn’t take away from the back of the dress?

I had a beaded belt and had my seamstress make a back from the same material as my dress because I didn’t like the look of a ribbon. I was really pleased with the way it turned out. My dress was completely lace, and I didn’t want to have a ribbon tail that was going to keep coming undone.

TTReverie: I voted for full beaded sash. I had the same dilemma as you trying to decide and ultimately decided to go with a partially beaded satin sash that ties in the back (for cost reasons) andi love the way it turned out 🙂 I actually found a simple plain sash on Etsy and asked the seller if she could add some bling to it and that saved me a good amount.
I voted for full beaded sash because your dress is very sheath looking and the ribbon hanging in the back may not mesh.
Here is mine!

Sorry I don’t have better pictures, but I wore my lace reception dress with bow in back!
