I am really crushin’ hard on one dress, but want to keep looking at others since I haven’t tried anything on yet.
I AM pretty fixed on all things lacy though and I mean ALLOVER lace or at least all over the bodice. I am also a sucker for buttons up the back and lace up near the neckline (but not crazy Victorian high) I am not thrilled with the fact that the designers I’ve found so far that offer this type of style are usually out of my price range… but I understand, lace is expensive.
Please share with me any designers you can think of that are known for heavy use of lace, especially in this fashion (i.e. in a vintage way — see massive amount of pics) and thanks so much in advance!

These are all beautiful but I can’t identify any of the designers myself. Jasmine, Casablanca and Anjolique all do lace dresses–most of which are pretty decent looking and under $1500.

Nearly every designer has lace dresses. A good place to check out every designer available is http://dressfinder.com

What is your price range? It may help to determine what designers to suggest?
With that said, Pronovias is pretty well known for lace dresses.

@YSQueen: My price range is a crazy low $600ish.. I know. I will have to count on getting something second hand or on sale I am guessing.
@Georgia Bee: I have some of these designers on my list (and in the above pics) already: Jacquelin Exclusives, San Patrick, Stewart Parvin.. thanks for the others you mentioned.
I have found one in the list for $630 and am going to try it on in town soon (that price is online only).. but I just want to keep looking out for this same style.
@Selene221: Thanks for the link. I have been searching and searching but keep feeling like I’m missing some out there and when I search for lace, I get everything from the above to something with tiny bits on it.

I know Jim Hjelm has a lot of beautiful lace dresses. I’m not sure the price range though.

Maybe you want to try Maggie Sottero….
Also, you can check http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com
It’s possible to find new dresses on there sometimes.

@MsInterpret: with a budget at $600 you will have to shoot for second hand dresses if you want lace. I went lace dress shopping at everywhere from DB to high end stores and most lace dresses that are like what you are looking for started at $2K and that was conservative.
I ended up with a Marisa – its full lace strapless though. at about $2700.
Jim Hjelm has gorgeous dresses along the lines you are looking for but are wayyy expensive.
have you checked out preownedweddingdresses.com or oncewed.com?
how about something like this… http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/dresses/17215/San-Patrick-Bangor-Size-10.html

Blue by Enzoani has some lovely lace dresses, which are cheaper than Pronovias, but probably still a bit out of reach – they’re similar in price to Maggie Sottero.
I think used/sample will be the way to go for you – I don’t know what dress size you are, but if you’re at the smaller end it should be easy for you to find something stunning in budget. I saw one girl on a forum who got a sample lace Charlotte Balbier for £99, when it normally retails at £1000-1200. Do you have SWOON in the US? Or something similar?

All I wanted was a lace dress and I ended up buying Watters Harmony.
Watters dresses ended up being the only line of lace that I liked because they did not stick beading all over their dresses like a lot of other designers. I wanted something simpler and more vintage.
Wtoo may have a dress in your pice range.
Some other designers that I considered for lace were Allure, Jasmine bridal, and Maggie Sottero. Good luck!
Oh and here’s a picture of my dress 🙂

I’m pretty sure that second pic is just a top/overshirt. Nearly all bridal lines sell accompanying or complimentary boleros/jackets. The Seventh pic (the girl with the dark hair and her back turned towards us) is an Allure Dress, for sure. I tried that one on, and I actually purchased an Allure gown with a verrrry similar lace pattern. Mine is all over lace, but its a strapless sweetheart neckline. I’m getting married in November and would be interested in selling it to you around your budget if you’re interested. As another suggestion, you could find a very plain dress and have a lace jacket made to your specifications (similar to pic #5), places like etsy.com do that sort of thing at a very reasonable price!
