I finally purchased my wedding gown, while I was home for Christmas in Michigan. It's a Marisa 737; ivory, strapless, sweetheart neckline, fitted, with a modified trumpet bottom, and a beautiful flowing train. The dress is accented with Chantilly lace on the bodice that wraps around to the back. I'm dreaming of having lace heels to match, but I have searched all over the net and can't find much of anything. These shoes would be PERFECT, but the price is not. Any other suggestions?
The Casablanca is not quite what I'm looking for, but a very cute shoe. The Target pair for $7.50 is an amazing deal, but how do you think white shoes will work with an ivory dress? Can you have any shoe dyed? I LOVE the Stewart Weizman ones but to get size 7.5 I only could find them for $300. I'd like to stay under $200 if possible.
Hello, Your information came up when I was searching for lace bridal shoes. I love the Oscar de la Renta original shoe! Where did you find that shoe originally?
Thanks for your help. Best wishes on your upcoming wedding!
I am also wearing the Marisa 737, but in all white. The best dress ever! I have not wearing heels, though...just embellished sandals, but I found this pair. I
Sorry - a bit unrelated to the shoes, but would you both post pics of your Ivory and White marisa 737 dresses? I am purchasing mine on-line and I am a bit confused with my 2 options. Salons are calling them different shades: ivory, white, pearl... but from what I understand the ivory comes with white lace correct? I think the ivory with the white lace is what I tried on in a boutique last month, but am unsure. I think your pics would help if you don't mind! Thanks!! =)
I won't have my white on white until November, but I will attach a pic of the one I tried on which was ivory with white lace overlay. It was awesome, but I am actually considering white one of my colors, and ivory is no where in my scheme. I was looking for more of a crisp look than a vintage/romantic look. The picture is outside so you can get a better idea...everything looked ivory inside the store.
If the only thing that's keeping you from the $7.50 Target shoes is the color, you might as well just buy them and see if you can dye them with tea or coffee. It could save you a lot of money and trouble!
