Have you considered having a runner over the lace? If so, you could sew two pieces of lace fabric to make it wide enough and hide the seam under a runner.

@Tracille:  I’ve always  thought of using Ikea lace curtains as tablecloths/overlays. The kind I’ve seen doesn’t fray, so you could just cut with scissors. They come with two panels per package, which would make them $5/each ($10/package). Might be worth checking out?

@Kwhoa:  The problem is, as the OP said above, drapery panels typically aren’t wide enough. The table is 60″ wide and the drapery panels are 57″.
