Check eBay. I was looking at vintage lace for my garter and there were some really pretty lace patterns listed there for a decent price.

I was also looking for lace to edge my veil….but in a specific pattern similar to the lace on my dress. Someone recommended Haberman Fabrics http://www.habermanfabrics.com</font> in a post somewhere and when I e-mailed them they were able to find lace that matched the photo swatch I sent them. It was $25 per yard for ivory chantilly lace (rose pattern) – the designer of my dress sold it by the yard for $80. This price is about as good as it gets for the sort of lace I was looking for – I did a lot of searching. Haberman has a lot of different options though. In the end I decided to have Occansey make a lace edged mantilla veil for me – they sourced the matching lace and are going to take care of the whole thing…I know this is not the DIY spirit but I wasn’t sure how good I would be at attaching the lace myself :-)
