I’m not really sure when you estimated your ovulation (FYI, that’s a MAJOR missing piece of this puzzle) but any symptoms you have before ~7 DPO at the earliest are phantom symptoms and most likely related to the progesterone your body produces whether you’re pregnant or getting AF. Also, I never had tender breasts before AF but this last cycle they were pretty much tender every day after ovulation.  It tricked me into thinking I might be BFP but I was not.  The body starts acting strange when you begin TTC and paying attention to every little twinge or pain that happens between the breasts and the thighs.

Depending on how many DPO you are, it could be promising, but if you think it’s too soon to test, then they are probably phantom symptoms.

The longer you TTC, the more the phrase “I never have {insert symptom}” means diddly squat.  Our bodies seem to get a kick out of messing with our heads.

Good luck to you, and test in a few days!

blushbambi:  If it was the 17th then it would be too early to have any symptoms, you’d only be 6dpo. How do I know this? I had very similar symptoms this weekend and spent quality time with Google. 🙂 I’d wait until Friday to test.

One thing, were you on the pill recently? Everything I’ve heard says that going off the pill can mess with your cycle. You’ll get brand new symptoms randomly and ovulation can be off.

blushbambi:  Hopefully your case will turn out differently from mine… This was our first month trying as well and I had incredibly sore boobs, felt bloated, and a few other things that are signs of early pregnancy.  I had never had those symptoms before this month.  I took a test four days before my missed period and got a not pregnant.  I still had hope since it was early, but then I got AF yesterday.  I noticed quite a few other gals had the same thing happen to them in the POAS board.  You could be pregnant (hopefully you are) or you could be hoping for it so badly that you are giving yourself symptoms like so many of us do.  Good luck!
