I would love a thread to bring together all the ladies that are currently preggo and gearing up for an exciting 2011 year.  Here are some questions I have for all you ladies.

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?

Are you or have you found out the gender?

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?

Any other tips to share with others?

    Here are my answers:

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  Currently 8 weeks today, due Aug 18th

Are you or have you found out the gender? We are team green.  Exciting because I can already start thinking about the nursery and other stuff.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope? I am feeling pretty good.  Very bloated, have my be-band on at work.  I have a feeling I am going to start showing within another few weeks.  I am trying to have a healthy weight gain pregnancy so I am trying to eat healthy and lots of small meals.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  I am loving a bold tourqouis nursery with a bit of lime green.  I also am in love with the UppaBaby Vista stroller but DH thinks its too expensive.  I am currently trying to research other similar alternatives.

Any other tips to share with others?  Make a journal.  When we told my parents it was fun to look back through some of her notes of being pregnant and having a newborn.  She said once she had a baby one of the best things was a calendar with stickers for big moments.  She loved that it was always hanging right there when something big happened and she could jot it down.

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow, due July 22.

Are you or have you found out the gender? I'm very excited to find out if it's a boy or a girl! I love pink too much to have a neutral color around if it's a girl.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope? Currently I'm feeling pretty good. I get crazy bad migraines which have been a pretty major problem, but my neurologist put me on some meds that seem to be working wonders. As for normal pregnancy symptoms... they stopped about a week and a half ago. It kind of worries me but I'm trying to stay positive!

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  I'm waiting until my 12 week apt. to start thinking about any of this. I recently had a miscarriage, so this time I don't want to get myself all excited in case something goes wrong.

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  August 27th so I believe today is 6w5d

Are you or have you found out the gender?  We will find out, but it's way too early for us. :)

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  Honestly, since just a few days after I found out at like 4ish weeks, I have been having terrible, horrible morning sickness. As in I'm stuck in bed. So far blue gatorade is the only thing I can consistently keep down. Sea bands aren't working, small meals aren't working... Yeesh.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  Of course it can always change, but we've agreed and narrowed it down to one boy's name and one girl's name and I have decided which room we are making his/her bedroom. :)

Any other tips to share with others?  Oh, I wish... When I find out the secret to morning sickness, I will let you all know.

So I filled this out, had to close the screen(at work), and then realized that my answers might freak out all the newly pregnant moms on here, so I'll go with: I'm due July 25

Advice: It's never too early to start reading about giving birth so yuo can chose your birth plan whether it be c-section, natural, medicated, whatever. Know what you're going to do. If in doubt, call the doctor! Granted, I had no obvious warning signs, but, there are lots of babies here today because their mother noticed something was wrong.

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  August 19th ~ will be 8 weeks tomorrow!

Are you or have you found out the gender?  Too early to find out, but I'm not sure if we are going to find out. Part of me wants it to be a surprise, but the anxiety part of me thinks it might be better for my mental state if I know! ha!

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  Lately have been feeling fine, very normal other than some quesiness if I'm not on top of my eating. In the begining had the sore boobs, & some very mild cramping. My energy level kinda sucks too.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  Good Gosh no! I still haven't totally wrapped my mind around this thing! Part of me feels like it's a big joke, that I'll go to my next doctor appt. & they will say "surprise! We were just joking". All of the stuff that I don't know about babies & kids is way overwhelming! Do I need to start reading about babies now????

Any other tips to share with others?  If I eat before I get hungry then I'm not queasy. Other than that...try to stay off internet (except WB of course) cause you will drive yourself nuts with info overload!

@TheFutureMcBride: I've read your previous posts, so I have an inkling of what you may be talking about (and thank you for the advice! I'm bad about calling the doctor. :)) but honestly, the ominous tone scares me even more! And for what it's worth, my condolences and my congratulations (respectively, for the two separate situations)!

@farmgirl2106: Sorry, I didn't mean to be ominous. It's just I didn't like the sound of "we're not buying anything until after I give birth to a healthy, living baby." As far as my advice, I didn't think about the birthing part soon enough and almost didn't get into Bradley classes. And the "ask your doctor," part, well, I've read lots of stories where the mom ignored something that was giant and it turned out poorly.

I guess it's hard to think babies sometimes because I don't know what's going to happen, so I'm living in the present, not the future, and definately not planning out a room, car seat, or clothes.

@TheFutureMcBride: Just curious, are you team green again?  Are you happy with your decision with that with Moose?  Sorry if this is too personal, but I have really been wanting to get your opinion on this.  One of the big reasons we are team green is to as you said, live in the present and not plan too far until we have a healthy baby in our arms.

@SecretName: Well, with Moose, we were Team Green because the idea of finding out right when Moose was born just sounded awesome. Like how could we not decide to go with the doctor saying "It's a ____." Plus, we had fun guessing. It was just fun. Now, with Wombat, it's just an obvious choice.

@colors: We're due the same date!!!  Also, There is a pinned thread at the top of the baby boards as a master list for ALL us pregnant ladies on the board, make sure you add yourselves to that list!

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  Ill be 12 weeks tomorrow!  Due July 22

Are you or have you found out the gender?   We will find out asap

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  I feel great!  Didnt have any morning sickness, or bloating or anything, just some exhaustion.  Advice on that?  Lots and lots of naps.  No cravings out of the ordinary.  I kind of struggled until recently about "feeling pregnant" because I just didnt.  But thats definitely starting to change.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  Nope.  We wont buy or discuss until after we know the sex.  We do want either the Bob or the Bugaboo stroller though.  And I want wall decals of trees for the baby room (sorry I dont like the wrod nursery.  weird I know.)  thats all I know =o)

Any other tips to share with others?  I feel as if Im so early and since I havent had any symptoms, I dont have much advice.  Yet.  Itll come =o)

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  I am due Aug 22nd, so I am a little over 7 weeks.

Are you or have you found out the gender?  We will as soon as we can!

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  I'm actually feeling horrible and feel bad when I complain. I'm VERY tried, nausous all day with no relief, bloody nose and lots of bloating. Don't get me wrong, I'm soooo excited about being pregnant, I just need to get past this first trimester. I've tried all the remedies for sickness, but haven't found anything that works. On the plus side they say that if you have sickness, the less chance for miscarriage, so maybe its not a bad thing. The bloating is causing my work pants to be too tight so I'm off to buy a bellyband this weekend.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  No major purchases as we are waiting to find out the sex first. We do have a boy & girl name all picked out. I've been looking on the internet for furniture and bedding, which is fun, but will wait until we know for sure what it is. Its fun to look though!

Any other tips to share with others? My tip right now is to enjoy each stage as it comes. I hear that it all goes so fast, you should stpp to take a breath and enjoy the moment. Although it feels like I will be pregnant forever...Aug seems so far away!

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  Due early June (6-12) the Doc keeps changing my due date but I'm around 18-19 weeks.

Are you or have you found out the gender?  We should know on MLK day!

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  Good, except everyone keeps asking me how I'm feeling! I'm annoyed with the belly/boobs getting in my way and making it hard to get dressed for work. Still working out and doing yoga and recently I've had more energy so that's been good.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  I'm waiting till Spring to buy stuff - want to have some time to figure out the essentials. However recently one of my girlfriends bought me an awesome Kate Spade baby bag - so I can look chic while I'm hauling all the baby stuff around. :)

Also trying to figure out day-care/working part-time/working from home/expanding my own business. Can I just win the lottery please??

Any other tips to share with others? No tips...never done it before! Mostly I've just been taking things as they come and trying not to worry about every little do or don't that people want to warn me about.

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?

    May 27th, I'm just about 20 weeks.

Are you or have you found out the gender?

We found out yesterday that we're having a son. My partner did a touchdown dance in the doctor's office, something very unlike him.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?

I'm feeling great, trucking along, still running and have gained about 5 pounds, but my doctor says they baby is healthy and developing just fine. I guess I'll say I felt MUCH better after 13 weeks for anyone not feeling well.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?

The only thing I have my sights set on is a BOB but I'm waiting for my REI divided and coupon for that. I've started telling friends that I'll gratefully take any unneeded baby gear off their hands and things have started to trickle in.I do know target as many baby things on clearance right now, including graco cribs.

I've started reading up on creating a birth plan, but I haven't made any decisions yet.

Any other tips to share with others?

No tips, I have no idea what I'm doing, as it's my first.

@TheFutureMcBride: Oh, no worries. I'm a jumpy person, and you have EVERY right to be leery. And we've made plans to go to the doctor as soon as we get back from Denver, so I will try to not be ignorant. I really don't want to be. Once again, I hope everything goes perfectly for you!!

@knittybynature:  How'd you decide on the BOB stroller, one just went up on craigslist in my area and I was trying to decide whether to get it.  So happy to see another 20 week runner out there!

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  Due May18-21

Are you or have you found out the gender?  Little girl!

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  So much better this trimester, was exhausted and naseous during the first.  Sleep and gingerale were what got me through.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  We got a nice crib from a friend who had been gifted too many.

Any other tips to share with others?  For me so far maternity jeans suck and make me feel like an old woman but the belly band is great.  I guess that's not really a tip though.

@troubled: I have a friend that got a BOB that doesn't even really run.  I think its just an overall nice stroller.  Another friend of mine has one and uses it even to just go walk at the park because her travel system just doesn't do.

If its a good price on Craigslist you should maybe go ahead and buy it.  Worst case is that it doesn't work out and you have to re-sell it on craigslist.

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  I'm 3 1/2 months

Are you or have you found out the gender?  Definitely, and we find out next month.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  Feeling so-so, every day. No tips to coping, just living my life as usual.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  Not planning on buying anything until after the anatomy scan.

Any other tips to share with others?  My only advice for other moms-to-be is to just be real with it. Share your experiences, talk with eachother, and be honest, with no judgement.

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  14 weeks and 5 days

Are you or have you found out the gender?  We are planning on finding out the sex of the baby.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  I feel great. I don't have any tips besides NEVER use google to see if "it's normal". You will go crazy.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  We are buying our furniture soon!! And we have decided on a bunch of neutral big ideas (green and brown monkey theme for high chair, pack and play, stroller/infant car seat, etc.) We want to be able to use as much as possible on future children also.

Any other tips to share with others?

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?

I'm 18 weeks and three days along - estimated due date is June 7th but since they're twins we're aiming for 38 weeks so May 20-something

Are you or have you found out the gender?

    Nope!

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?

I have started to get very tired the past couple weeks but I didn't experience the same level of fatigue in the first trimester.  In the 1st trimester I would get nauseous at the sight/smell/suggestion of some foods but could eat just about anything.  If I allowed myself to get hungry I'd get VERY nauseous - almost panicky.  I carried snacks with me more often - string cheese, clementine oranges, crackers. I was also getting brutal headaches a few weeks ago and figured out that it was tied to dehydration so I've been much better about having water with me all the time.  The belly has started to pop over the past couple weeks so I'm adjusting to that difference and if I could live in leggings and long sweaters I would!  They also started fluttering in the past few days so that's been great - I love to feel them.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?

No purchases.  We're playing it safe although we'll probably get a stroller in the next few weeks because we need to get a new car and it's going to have to be able to fit the stroller in it!  Other than that I don't think we'll buy much for a while.

Any other tips to share with others?

It's my first pregnancy so I'm still learning but one of the things I've started doing is asking for more help and/or delegating.  My work has been very understanding and have shifted some of my responsibilities so that I am not getting run down.  Now if they could just bring in a little nap room!

I also highly recommend carrying water with you as much as possible - the baby is taking whatever he/she/they need so you have to keep replenishing!

And the piece of advice I need to follow myself is to get to bed earlier!!!

Hope all the other mothers to be in the hive are feeling well!

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  We're Due July 18th! So Ill be 13 weeks on Sunday:)

Are you or have you found out the gender?  The technicinan told us yesterday that it is a very good chance that we're having a little boy :) Its obviously really early, but it was pretty clear.... needless to say my husband was about ready to burst:)

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  Morning sickness is the devil ! LOL...Its been getting better and better...but jeez, its getting exhausting!! I was given medication, so that helped ALOT

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  I havent bought anything, but my parents made a big purchase- The bedroom set we wanted happened to be on sale right after xmas so they bought it as a gift :) We wont be settin it up till the spring though.

Any other tips to share with others?  I went through bouts of guilt, because i felt like i couldnt pull my weight around the house... i was just toooo exhasuted. My husband has been doing alot of the cleaning and all of the cooking. He made me realize that right now...this is the biggest job that i could be doing. To just relax and grow our baby...So thats the only advice i can give... relax and enjoy all the sleep.. I dont think we'll have it for much longer :)

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)? EDD is July 15th per the Doctor and July 16th per FF, so I'm really right at 13 weeks today or tomorrow.

Are you or have you found out the gender? Finding out on Feb 3rd hopefully! We should be able to tell by then. We both think it's a boy, but I can't wait to see if I'm right or wrong!

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope? Feeling pretty good I guess. The nausea is gone, but I'm still always so tired and lazy. I'm really hoping for some 2nd tri energy! I still have sinus issues all the time which is annoying, but for the most part I think I did pretty well because I didn't have any m/s or anything. I am just tired of being bitchy all the time. Those hormones have been hell. My poor DH. lol

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)? Nope. We don't want to get anything until we know the sex. Also my sister just had boy/girl twins in Sept and she is sending me EVERYTHING! So I am also going to wait and see what she gives me before I purchase anything. I am going to start buying into my cloth diaper stash probably next month. Just so I don't have to get it all at the last minute and can get all that I need (or want haha) without paying for it all at once.

Any other tips to share with others? I guess I don't have anything since this is all new to me and I really never had much sickness or anything.

@AnamCara: That is so awesome you are having twins!  Thats exciting you are team green too!

@thelovecats: I am still noting feeling any m/s at 8 weeks so I'm crossing my fingers I am like you and just lucky!

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  I'm 8 weeks today with a due date of August 20th. 1st appointment on Tuesday!

Are you or have you found out the gender?  I'm pretty sure we'll be surprised (my husband doesn't like spoilers), that might change though:)

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  I was getting cramps up until last week, and I feel nausous in the morning, but no puking yet. I can still fit into my pants, but I need some new bras!

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?  Just a new camera, and I've been browsing online for the baby gear!

Any other tips to share with others?  um......eat your fruits and veggies

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?  I'm 8 weeks 1 day, due August 19th :)

Are you or have you found out the gender?  We definitely want to find out! I want to know as soon as I can so I can decorate the baby room and buy clothes...also, I don't really like surprises that much.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?  At about 5 weeks, morning sickness hit like a freight train and lasted 2 1/2 weeks! I was nauseated all the time, it felt like a 24 hour hangover. It helped to drink a cup of water as often as I could, plus OJ and gatorade and small snacks throughout the day. Seabands also worked pretty well for me. And I stopped beating myself up about not exercising at this point because I have been so TIRED since I found out! I just got lots of sleep. At 8 weeks, I feel better than I have in weeks! I'm hoping the nausea is pretty much over. I'm still pretty tired, and sleeping in a soft sports bra has really helped my sore boobs. Oh also constipation is not fun...but staying hydrated and eating more fiber has helped. Other then that, I feel pretty ok.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)? Nope, nothing yet. Me and my hubby went to Babys R Us and he was totally overwhelmed lol. It was actually kind of cute.

Any other tips to share with others? Drink lots of water, get as much sleep as you can, and don't kill yourself over trying to eat a perfectly balanced diet in the first few weeks because if you experience morning sickness you'll need to just focus on eating what you can keep down!

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)? 13 w 6 d.  EDD is 7.11

Are you or have you found out the gender? We are definitely going to find out the next gender.  The anatomy scan is scheduled for the first week of February!!

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope? I am feeling pretty good except really tired because my hips are KILLING me at night.  They only hurt when I sleep on my side, which I have to now according to my doc, and they literally send pain all the way down my legs.  My doc said I can take a tylenol at night, every night and sleep with a heating pad but I am not comfortable with that.  And my self-esteem has dropped about 100% because of the condition of my face.  I have never had so many pimples in my life.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)? Nope.  I am sure that will change when we find out what we are having.

Any other tips to share with others? If you are worried about labor and have a weak stomach, DO NOT read birth stories.  People post pictures in there without warning you and they wil scar you for life and make you gag.  Yes, I learned this the hard way.  My fear of birthing this child has worsened to a level that is not healthy.  I never want to see my own placenta, let alone some strangers on the internet.

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)? About 5 weeks along...due around September 7.

Are you or have you found out the gender? We have every intention of find out as soon as we can.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope? I have been feeling nauseous pretty often (usually when hungry) and my boobs have already grown a bit and feel perkier...like I have my teenage boobs back...although my teenage boobs were NEVER this big!

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)? Way to early for us to be making any kind of decisions.  We are just trying to be optimistic and realistic about the outcome.  I am a bit nervous about miscarriage.

Any other tips to share with others? I got nothing!

Are you or have you found out the gender? We will.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope? Right now I feel great, just super sore breasts!

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?

    June 1, 2011. 20 weeks today

Are you or have you found out the gender?

It's a boy and intellegender was right too.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?

Feeling great, some swelling of the feet when I exercise and PUPPP rash. 1st trimester morning sickness was rough.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?

Since we found out the gender we are staring to do our major purchases now. A crib and a changing table!

Any other tips to share with others?

Do what feels right for you. All pregnancies are different. What I am finding most difficult now are the varying opinions on the actual childbirth: natural vs drugs. Doula versus no-doula. Follow your heart, find amazement in your body everyday and share this experience with your partner.

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?

Due September 16th (about three and a half weeks!)

Are you or have you found out the gender?

It's still too early, but we will find out the gender when we can.

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?

I'm exhausted!  Pretty much the only tip is that I try to nap when I can and get to bed early.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?

We've just looked at baby stuff since I'm not that far along.  But we've been talking about a lot of major decisions, such as moving.

Any other tips to share with others?

I've been trying to eat healthy snacks between my meals.  No morning sickness yet, but I get really hungry and my blood sugar drops low if I don't eat every so often.

    Update for us!

We just had a 9 week ultrasound and the baby is measuring big so they felt comfortable moving my due date from 8/18 to 8/12.  Its exciting because my husbands birthday is right between then!

It was so amazing to see the difference between the 8 week ultrasound (just a peanut) and the 9 week ultrasound (brain, arms, legs, fingers, umbilical cord).

So it goes from Crib to a double bed frame. Not to mention this set is STURDY....Im all about safety :)

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)? I've been updated now to Aug. 25th after my first ultrasound put me about a week earlier than we thought I was.

Are you or have you found out the gender? We will find out the gender, but like SecretName, I'm planning on using lime green as my decor color of choice (cups, dishes, bottles, toys, etc)

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope? Exhausted, bloated, queasy (no puking at all though, yay!), moody, crampy, back-achey, swollen/tender breasts, nosebleeds, smell sensitivity, food aversions, cravings, crazy dreams, and poor sleep quality. I'm coping by trying to get excited that these symptoms mean I'll most likely have a strong pregnancy and get through the first trimester. Just trying to avoid stress.

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)? No purchases, but we've picked out our top choice crip (Graco's Lauren in white). The nursery is painted bright aqua (Behr's Winter Surf and Thermal Spring) with lime green pops here and there. We plan to have more children in the future, and I wanted it to be gender neutral, but still bright and fun. Mr. SD is also very excited about getting a baby carrier a la The Hangover.

Any other tips to share with others? Sleep as much as you can! I nap whenever I can get it because I sleep so poorly at night. And don't feel guilty when things don't get done. You'll have more than enough time to do it later in the pregnancy, and if you don't, well, your body is working hard enough to grow a new life that leaving the dishes for a few days won't hurt anybody. Accept help from whoever offers it (including your MIL coming over to clean your house because she's tired of your husband having to live in relative filth) knowing that they're offering out of love, not judgement. And make pregnant/mommy friends if you can, because you'll want to slap the others when they make stupid comments like, "Oh, one glass of wine won't hurt! Here, share my margarita!!" "Geez, I don't understand why you're getting so upset over something so stupid" and my personal favorite "I just don't get how you can sleep so much. It can't be THAT exhausting! I mean, you're just sitting there, it's basically growing itself!".

I was wondering if anyone that is due in July has felt the baby move yet.  I may have felt the baby move this weekend but it seems so soon (I am due July 11).  I hope it was the baby though!

What is your EDD (or how far along are you)?

    According to babycenter.com 4 weeks.

Are you or have you found out the gender?

yes def. I am too impatient and I'm a planner :)

How are you feeling and any tips to help cope?

I feel fine as of now, no m/s with my first child so I'm hoping I get lucky again, but I have a feeling I won't be that lucky lol

Any major baby purchases or decisions made yet (nursery, gear, etc)?

I have a lot of stuff from my first child and aside from the clothing everything is gender neutral

Any other tips to share with others?

I would agree with everyone, rest when you can and also don't let yourself get too hungry....I was a beast the last pregnancy if I didn't eat :)
