I thought this would be a fun thread to keep track of showers as they start approaching for everyone!

When are you having your shower(s) in terms of pregnancy weeks?

    Who is throwing your shower(s)?

    How many people are invited?

    Any theme/pictures?

Lets share the good/bad/ugly of this!  Its like wedding showers and registering all over again!

I live 1200 miles from my family and I just do not have the time/money to be making that trip. If I do have a shower it will most likely be friends at work who throw it, but I doubt that will happen since all of them are pregnant and due before me.

No one could do an August date for mine (which is totally fine, I'd rather not look whalelicious) so we went with 31/32 weeks.

One of my best friends is throwing it at a hotel. About 30-40 people on the guest list. I expect about 25 at the shower.

When are you having your shower(s) in terms of pregnancy weeks? I'll be 33 weeks. We planned it around when my sister would be able to come down.

Who is throwing your shower(s)? My mom, SIL, and good family friend.

How many people are invited? We sent out 53 invites, but it's a couples shower so about twice that. We're not expecting them all to come... but it'll be pretty big.

Any theme/pictures? Well, we're having it at a minor league baseball stadium. We're having a girl, so that's not the theme, it's just the location and we figured it would be good for the boys to have something they like to do when we open presents. Plus I'm not a fan of the traditional showers with games.

I'm in the probably not getting a shower group. My husband and I registered for some stuff in case people want to get us something, but I'm using it more as a list to help me be organized. We have already bought our crib, changing table, linens, and a couple of outfits.

If there is a "shower", it will probably just be family. I told my mom if she wants to have something, we can do it out at the pond, and make it more of a BBQ thing, no gifts necessary. I don't have a ton of friends left in the area I grew up in - we all moved away, and I haven't made friends with anyone up here well enough that I'd be comfortable inviting them to an event that's sole purpose is to give me presents. :)

My shower will be at about 33 weeks.

My sisters are throwing it at one of their houses in the Boston area. We live in Philadelphia. Could be a little tricky getting all the stuff back home in our car, but my mom will be visiting a few weeks later so I plan to ask her to bring down what didn't fit in our car.

About 40 people are invited. We expect about 25. Majority of invitees are my cousins (who will probably go in on gifts together), then my friends, then my mom's friends, then DH's family. I am hesitant about inviting DH's family altogether, but that is a post in and of itself.

No theme that I know of --my sisters are keeping the details to themselves. But there will be cake!

This isn't my shower but I'm throwing one for my FSIL so I guess I'm qualified to answer...

When are you having your shower(s) in terms of pregnancy weeks? She's due in early August and her shower is in late June so I guess around 35/36 weeks.

Who is throwing your shower(s)? Myself and my FMIL are throwing my FSIL's shower. Her sister and mother are throwing her another shower for their side of the family (they live a few states away).

How many people are invited? 20 or less.

Any theme/pictures? We're having a jungle theme to match their nursery.

My shower is next weekend and I will be 34 weeks pregnant!
My Mom is throwing my shower and there are 50 invited but I think about 30 will come. It will most likely be a Princess theme! But I dont get to know the details! I just know the time and place. :)

When are you having your shower(s) in terms of pregnancy weeks?

I voted for 32 weeks.  I'm not too sure yet, I just know it will be some time in July.  (I'm due mid September)

    Who is throwing your shower(s)?

    My mom and my sister-in-law

    How many people are invited?

I'm not sure.  Maybe about 35 people or so.  Probably all the ladies who were invited to my bridal shower.

    Any theme/pictures?

We find out in 5 days the sex of the baby!  So I guess we'll go from there!

Who is throwing your shower(s)? My Mom and MIL

How many people are invited? Not sure yet, probably around 50 invites if we count both my side and hubby's side of the family.

    Any theme/pictures? No theme

When are you having your shower(s) in terms of pregnancy weeks?
Mine was a week ago (I was 32-33 weeks). I think any later and there wouldn't be much time to exchange things or if you have gift cards to use them online (and have to wait for shipping).

    Who is throwing your shower(s)?
One of my girlfriends from college and my mom.

    How many people are invited?
We invited around 40 and ended up with about 24 - it was a good size since it was at our house (which was super convenient especially when we got big stuff like a car seat and high-chair).

    Any theme/pictures?
Teal and brown - which are kind of my nursery colors. And birds...just because. :) Pics below!

Love the dress Camrie, favorite out of all 4 you posted.

Mine is going to be this weekend when I'll be 37 weeks and a few days.

It was going to be when I was 34 weeks but my grandma sadly passed away 2 days before, so we went to a funeral instead.   We were going to have an after baby party but since the shower was cancelled at the last minute a lot of people had already bought gifts and were going to just drop them off saying they would be useful when the baby first got here so we just moved the date back a few weeks, so now I'll be super pregnant.

34 weeks would have been more ideal since I'm all in the nesting phase now and trying to figure out what we're going to have to buy at the last minute and I'm a lot more sensitive/cranky at 37 weeks but I'm still really looking forward to it and glad we're having it pre-baby.

When are you having your shower(s) in terms of pregnancy weeks?

Just found out my shower will be July 9th when I am 34 weeks and 2 days.  Its local so that is nice.

    Who is throwing your shower(s)?

4 of my close girl friends that were all bridesmaids in my wedding :)

    How many people are invited?

We aren't inviting any of my family since they are all out of town and my husbands family in town consists of about 5 women.  Total I think we are inviting about 20 and expecting about 15 to be available to come.

    Any theme/pictures?

My shower is at 32 weeks

Hosted by the grandmas to be (my mom and mother in law)

We invited 40 people and we are expecting 35 to attend. It is mostly family with a few close friends.

No theme- we are having it at a restaurant to make it as little work as possible on everyone involved.

No shower for me even though I've asked for one when I was in the beginning of my second trimester. People are too afraid even though Wombat's gotten great marks on all prenatal tests.

My showers will be at 20 wks (my mom's side of the family; it's a joint shower since my sister is also pregnant and she'll be 24 wks)  and 23 wks (my MIL's side of the family)-- they're both planned around when other family will be in town. Those families don't tend to pay attention to the general rule of having baby showers late in the 3rd trimester--- one baby shower on my MIL's side was for a mom who was only 3 months along.

As far as themes-- there won't be one for either shower I think-- both are pretty casual family BBQs. And both are going to have the whole family invited, but I'm not sure how many will actually be there-- 20+ at the shower from my mom's side of the family, probably 30+ at the one on my MIL's side.

When are you having your shower(s) in terms of pregnancy weeks?  33 weeks

Who is throwing your shower(s)? My sister-in-law

How many people are invited? I'm having a co-ed shower and people are also bringing their kids. I think it's about 12-15 couples invited

Any theme/pictures? Nope, no theme. I want it to just be a relaxing get-together so it's going to be a backyard bbq type of event

When are you having your shower(s) in terms of pregnancy weeks? Around 32 weeks.

Who is throwing your shower(s)? I feel super fortunate because I'm technically having 3 showers - totally the result of living in a different state than both of our families and most of my close friends! one of my best friends is throwing me a local shower, with out of towners joining in "virtually" through skype hooked up to our big screen tv (so excited to see how that works out ;) My sister in law is throwing me a "gift card shower" on my husband's side of the family - basically she sends out "invites" for everyone to send us gifts and gift cards by a certain date (it makes me slightly uncomfortable but his side of the family LOVES these things and did the same thing for my bridal shower!). My coworkers are also throwing me an obligatory shower lunch at work lol. I'm super excited for all 3!

How many people are invited? I invited about 40 people total to the main shower - about 1/3 of them are out of towners who may join virtually or make the trip. there will probably be about 15 at my work shower.

Any theme/pictures? Not sure, but I think the main shower may be jungle/safari themed similar to our plans for the baby room.

Hi ladies, just wanted to follow up, my shower was this past weekend and it went great!  I am waiting to get some pictures back from my friend.

It turned out super cute.  One hostess made little "flowers" with baby socks wrapped around a stick in a flower vase!  She also made a fake cup cake display with washcloths rolled up tightly to look like cupcakes!  I can't wait to show you guys pictures of them, they are SO creative and a nice change up from the diaper cake.

We did do a "guess how many diapers are in the jar" contest and I think that was fun plus I got to keep all the diapers!

We had about 12 women, 4 little girls, and three babies and it was perfect!  I got lots of really nice gifts from my registry.  Being Team Green we only got like 3 pieces of clothing. I am finally feeling ready for the baby!

I also found out that work is throwing me another shower but not until August 5th!  Its cutting it really close to my August 18th due date!

When are you having your shower(s) in terms of pregnancy weeks?  I am having my shower around 33 weeks.  They originally were going to do it around 37 but that made me significantly anxious (I'm a planner) so we moved it up to the next available weekend.

Who is throwing your shower(s)?  My sister in law is doing most of it, my mother is also helping, as well as my cousin.

How many people are invited?  We invited 54 people...I'm expecting maybe 30

Any theme/pictures?  Our theme is jungle/monkeys, which is our nursery theme.  I'm team green, so something neutral and cute :)

My shower is this Saturday and I am SOOO excited! I have a baby class before that, but I'llbe calm by the time it comes. I even have a cute new peacock print dress I bought from Torrid to wear.LOL
