Hey, ladies! After 15 pages and 592 posts, we got asked to start a Part III because we were seriously weighing down the Part II thread...Sooooo, on to part III! I hope by the time Part IV rolls around, we've all gotten our BFPs!!!
http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/ladies-early-in-their-ttc-process-lets-talk-part-ii?replies=593
@jholler25: Woah! We're kind of a big deal, huh?!
Oh, why yes. This is KS awake at 6:56 on a Sunday. Why? Because she wanted to test. The line is there but it's no darker than yesterday. Looks like I'll be taking a 4pm test again and hoping the results are darker again.
@KansasPrincess11: A line is a line is a line! I'm sure it will be darker this pm! I'm SO EXCITED for you! I wouldn't have been able to sleep either!!!
ETA: Yes I was kind of flattered they had to close our thread;)
@jholler25: I tried SO hard to sleep last night but I kept getting cramps in my knees, I was up from 1:45-3:30 and am awake now. And NO COFFEE. Mayday! Mayday! The ship is going down! haha I was REALLY hoping for a DARK line...let's hope this afternoon shows that.
LOL i'm here too ladies....havent been sleeping well the past few nights. Kansas I'm so excited for you!!
@mudrat2: Hey girlfriend! I'm sticking to these boards until I have a test that is SO obvious. I'm goin to miss you guys SO much :(
@mudrat2: I know! Are you testing today or tomorrow?? I won't schedule one until tomorrow (Monday), I was really hoping for more of a line today so I could be off my rocker with excitement but I'm still skeptical.
@KansasPrincess11: Okay, this is going to sound SOOOOO dumb. Do you ever take yoga? I love me some yoga:) I actually love hot yoga, but I'm toning it down in the 2ww - we have a mechanism to cool our bodies (sweating), but a baby does not, so you can't elevate your body temp *that* high....So I don't want to take any chances of overheating a possible baby...ANYWAY, I digress:
In yoga, the instructor always tells us to establish a goal for the class. Mine is usally baby-related (shocker, I know)...Last week, before my follicle check, my goal was to get my follicles to grow nice and big, so I could trigger after my checkup. On CD 10, they were already pretty big, definitely ready to roll! I didn't know clomid would thin my lining or I would have visualized a nice strong lining. But since I triggered, I've definitely been doing that!
Yesterday, my goal for the class was to visualize implantation, to try to will it to happen. I pictured a little sperm connecting with the egg...Today I'm 2DPO, we're getting close to possible implantation, so I'm just going to keep visualizing that, and hope my body responds to that little cheerleader party the way it did when I visualized the follicles.
So, maybe today, when DH isn't looking, just shut your eyes, and imagine the hcg building up in your body, and then imagine it causing a nice dark (er) line on the frer.
Hope I don't sound too hippy, but I guess it makes me feel like I have some "control" over things. It helps me cope with this purgatory period!
Are you getting a digital for the 4pm? Or are you going to stick with FRER?
I wouldn't be so skeptical....a line is a line. we all saw it!! i'd be over the moon if i had what you had. plus you tested around 4-5pm yesterday right? and then just now? i'm sure it will get darker with time. i used test #2 yesterday. going to hold off on #3...monday or tuesday. sigh
@jholler25: Not too hippy at all! I love it! (I was raised by hippies haha) I'll def be doing that!! I'm going to wait on the digital b/c if I see the words "NOT PREGNANT" I will seriously break down. I also have a $2 off coupon off of a box of FRERs and Walgreens had the 2 pack boxes with a bonus stick--I'm all about a deal! ;)
I'll be visualizing this hcg increasing and the line POPPIN off the stick!
@mudrat2: Yeah, I am excited, I'm just trying to keep my feet on the ground since the line isn't ANY darker at all. I'm sorry you didn't have any news...but SO many women don't have anything until AFTER AF is supposed to get there....!
DH is making a huge pot of fresh coffee. I could slap him.
did you get the FRER with the free fertility testing stick inside? i had to read that pamphlet really closely, i had no idea what all that was about. but there was another $2 coupon in there as well. :)
@mudrat2: Ha! No but I did last time and I totally used it wrong LOL...I wasn't very "savvy" :)
@mudrat2: Yeah, I think you can technically, but the one woman that I know who did religiously, has AWFUL children LOL...so that's my motivation to not have much unless I am in a really rough spot one day.
my DH is taking a child development class (he's studying to be a high school math teacher) so now he's (ok i will say it) sort of a know-it-all since he read the first few chapters of a textbook.... according to him, i shouldn't be drinking coffee, alcohol or eating any of the bad pregnancy foods for like 2-3 months BEFORE i get pregnant. last week as i stood there with a glass of wine he says "i'd be mad if i found out you were pregnant right now, you haven't taken care of yourself at all!" when he saw the horror on my face he backed it up with "well i wouldn't be mad that you were pregnant...just that you havent been being careful"
whats your take?
@mudrat2: Your decision 100%. I told DH that it is technically safe to have a glass of wine occasionally and the same with coffee, he told me he would prefer me not take any unnecessary risks, just in case, which I understood. I can tell you right now that I'll have a cup of coffee or tea at some point though. Once I am confirmed by the dr. I can say I probably won't have the wine, but I also think it's REALLY unfair that during a time you're grouchy and stressed that you can't have such an amazing outlet ;)
(getting sent to the store for misc. ingredients pertaining to pancakes, eggs and bacon)
you should probably post a picture of this morning's test...we need to compare (ok, we need something to keep ourselves occupied)
@mudrat2: Oh, no seriously--it looks exactly like yesterday afternoon's test, haha! I had to write the date on the sticks w/sharpie so we could tell them apart. DH was so cute and trying to be realistic and not get me too excited but I could see the sparkle in his eyes. He said "So...what does that mean if they're the same?" I said "It means I have to go buy a new set of tests and test this afternoon and see if it's darker like it was yesterday compared to the morning" "Oh, ok. So...do you think you are? Is it ok to get excited?" :)
I'm watching the Little Mermaid. HA.
Wow! I've never been on a thread that is so busy and full of pages that it's been closed and we've been asked to start a new one. How cool is that?!
@KansasPrincess11: I can't wait to see a darker line!
@mudrat2: Fingers are crossed! WE will be watching and waiting too!
Today I'm going to Barnes and Noble with my aunt and I am pretty sure that I'm going to be buying some baby books today. Is that wrong? I am a planner, so I feel like if I have another 'project' to do while I'm in the TWW, it will be the best for everyone.
Still haven't O'ed yet!!!!! Now, I'm just hoping it goes on much longer. I don't think it will because I was seeing all the CM signs. Can't wait!
I have a friend that just announced that they are pregnant, due at the end of May/early June. If this happens for us, we could be bump buddies. How fun would that be?
I'm hoping my waiting to O DOESN"T go on much longer. GOodness what a difference that 1 little word makes.
@mudrat2: you and me seem like we are in the same boat....let's hope for BFP's
@KansasPrincess11: that's so cute how DH asks about getting excited :)
@Jholler25: ok so I totally just sat here with my eyes closed visualizing a positive I am so on board for positive thinking :)
(((good vibes))))
will be thinking of all of you as i make breakfast. let's think positive!!!!!!!!
@Mrs. Bonnie Blue: Aww bump buddies! I have 3 friends due between Jan and March so I know the feeling!! I hope this month was your month for sure!!!
@ms sweets: Haha, yeah, he's really excited but he's generally the more grounded of the two of us--and by that I mean he's ALWAYS the more grounded of the two of us ;) He even asked "So could your cold have had any effect on these tests?" Ah how lovely it would be to be so ignorant :)
@KansasPrincess11: I totally get your *disbelief* but you are preggers, 2 lines means you're KU, and you had 2 lines TWICE! I can't wait until we get you convinced all the way!!!
@Mrs. Bonnie Blue: Bump buddies - too cute!!! I say go for it with the books! I honestly don't believe in jinxing. You'll be pregnant soon enough, what's wrong with being a responsible parent and getting as educated as possible about what's ahead? I say, "Nothin'!"
@ms sweets: I'm with you! Positive thinking is really all we've got until we get positive pregnancy tests! I'm about to go to pilates, and I'm going to visualize my little baby (BHo, that's what we've already nicknamed him/her, for Baby Holler...DH calls me JHo and thinks he is *SO* clever- lol!) sticking like glue in there:) Just concentrate on the hcg building like wildfire in your system;) And then that it will just light up that second line!
@jholler25: You rock my world. :) I just went to the store and bought a new pack of FRER,I'm going to take another one at 4 like I did yesterday. That's going to be 24 hours from the darker test yesterday so hopefully that gives me a darker line!
We're going to my MIL's house tonight for dinner and I want to have a no-question in my mind YES.
**just for anyone who's using the store tests they have an extra one in the two pack and I found a $2 off coupon!**
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMG YOU GUYS...We're on part 3 wtheeeccckk? Love us.
and I couldn't read any of the previous posts because I am not yet over the fact that we're on part 3....I need to comprehend this. What's going to happen when we're psychotically posting our preggo symptoms? And pix of our diaper bags (BTW JHOLLER: I AM JEALOUS & ANGRY...I want a juicy diaper bag...for practically free). And then baby pix.....eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek exicted.
@LoveliestLove: Haha RIGHT?! How in the hell are we on this many threads?!?! We've all got to rock these BFP's and start sharing pics!!! :D
@LoveliestLove: Don't be jealous of a crazy person! Lol! I'm not even pg and I bought a diaper bag! At first I thought - "I've got to hide this from DH, it can't just be hung up in the closet with all of my other handbags, he always notices if there is even *one* more new handbag!" But he totally knows I'm a whackjob about getting pg. So I might as well just hang it up there and get it over with;) Take it like a woman:)
@jholler25: Um, you're SO not crazy. You just have a TINY bit less self control than the rest of us. And good fashion sense. And an eye for a bargain.
@jholler25: I already have a Boppy and a bunch of other baby stuff. I do baby diaper cakes, so I can kind of say that's the reason I have the stuff. Boppy is hidden in plain sight in a sweater box. In actuality, I love baby stuff and really, really can't wait to get pregnant.
@KansasPrincess11: Wellll, I wouldn't have paid the $80 she was asking...I just threw a ridiculous number at her, for the hell of it, and thought she'd never accept it. And then she was all, "Sounds good!" "Annnnnd that's how it happened, DH! You love when I get a get good bargain!"....Nothing different here than a few weeks ago when i found python Michael Kors wedges, a $300 pair of shoes, at Marshall's on the clearance rack for $59! Even though I had vowed not to buy any more shoes for a while (Dh said he is moving out of our closet bc there is no room for his stuff - he's *so* dramatic), even he agreed that a good deal on quality stuff, you just have to suck it up:) Baby or no baby!
@carrieknitscake: Thank you for your confession. I feel more normal:) Lord knows I'm tempted all the time, but for the most part, I talk myself out of it. It was just so ironic, the day I post THAT diaper bag, it's on CL!
@KansasPrincess11: Do you have ZERO baby items? I will confess. I have 2 onesies. And a diaper bag:)
@jholler25: Hehehe gotta love it! I certainly miss those days of having a little more extra income :)
@jholler25: I have zero.
Well--aside from the cradle, but that's a family heirloom and my brother is going to be an old maid and my sister (thank GOD) is done having kids :) I have a Godson though and I spoil him, like you wouldn't believe.
@KansasPrincess11: Awwww! I'm jealous! None of my FL friends have babies...Most are not even married yet (they do things really late down here!)...I would LOVE to have a GS/GD. My nola friends have babies, but I only see them once or twice a year....When I go home, most of my time is spent with my family, since it's usually only for a few days...You are lucky:) I lol'd at your brother being an old maid:)
