I am nervous and excited! The ring is sitting out and taunting me. I haven't peeked because the box is wrapped lol. I know it's happening on Saturday night, but I don't know any other details. I am about to pass out from excitement!

Hello all, I'm new to the board but I'm expecting a Christmas proposal. I'm overly anxious and it's only because I know it's coming but the fact that I have no idea how he'll pop the question or what the ring looks like adds more adrenaline to my anxiousness. I don't like surprises or secrets so its literally boggling my mind how well he's been hiding all information regarding the joyous occasion. According to my calculations I have 5 days: 3 hours and about 35 mins give or take before he proposes...told you I was antsy lol.

@ciel: 80% nervous 20% excited - maybe more a 'anxiously nervous?', that's just my personality though. I don't want to get my hopes up and be disappointed, so it's easier for me to cope while being pessimistic vs. optimistic. When it happens, I will be completely THRILLED but until then I have to just chill. We're leaving for a wedding in Chicago tomorrow and I'm desperately trying to drown any "well maybe...."
I did get excited to an extent last night when we were cuddling on the couch and his mom called and certainly asked a secretive question because his response was a casual, "I'll have to get back to you on that." and I did hear her response which was, "Ohhhhhhhh." Argh. I'm a ball of mixed emotions.
Just counting down and still clueless if he's going to propose or not. I was even thinking he bought me some other present and NO ring at all:(
Urgh. I thought maybe it was happening this weekend because he didn't ask me what I wanted for Christmas AND he said he wanted to plan a romantic dinner for sat night. But last night was was bragging about what good gifts he bought me and said he hadn't gotten around to finding a dinner spot for Saturday. Doesn't sound like a ring is coming :/ I'm going to just hope for a NYE proposal so I don't get weepy this weekend or on Christmas.

I'm trying not to think about him proposing. The more I do, the more anxious I get, haha. Instead I'm focusing on making him happy for Christmas and his birthday that is two days later. I got him some awesome presents, and can't wait to see his reaction when he opens up his gifts.
Im so anxious Im trying to convince myself he wont do it until NYE. We have substantial opportunities the 23rd, 24th, Christmas... And then another 4 day weekend over NYE. The only saving grace is that I know where the ring box is, I can see if its there each day before we head out on our adventures... Takes the surprise out of it a little but Im going CRAZY!!
super anxious but excited for sure, more than likely itll happen between the 26th and the 31st. my last yr beaing the girlfriend, ready for the upgrade.
I don't believe that my SO will propose to me on Christmas day because he "doesn't like to take the focus of other peoples day" (he said this to me some time ago) but I can't help that small part of me that wishes he would!! 
Brickette Interesting! That totally sounds like something my SO would say too, he's very reserved that way.
I know it's happening on or before Christmas! How do I know? Because we've decided to have a who-will-propose-first contest officially commencing the moment we get to his family's place this weekend! I actually hope I'm first to propose, I have a cute idea :)

My SO is very traditional when it comes to marriage etc.. He wants to ask for my Dad's blessing and he has said that he would hate it if I proposed to him because it is the one BIG thing that he gets to do and he wants it to be perfect (he can be a bit of a romantic when he wants to be lol). If I were to propose, I would ask him on Christmas Eve (this Christmas Eve!) because that was the night we first said "I love you" to each other 
I'm all sorts of confused haha.
He has the ring, this I know.
We are going away on Saturday to a pretty little ski town. I think it COULD happen then, because he wants to go to a ledge that you hike to. But we also always hike. Then we'll be tubing at a ski resort and resting at a hotel. Not sure on Sunday.
I don't think itll happen ON christmas because I have to work that night. So I kind of hope it doesnt happen on Christmas...
Got acrylic nails done for the first time ever the other day. I said it was for the family pictures (that his family invited me to be in!)
Bought a new sweater that I plan to be wearing.

Trying to keep my nails looking nice and still waiting...he keeps slipping up and asking me if I'm excited for Christmas Eve...and now asking me what I plan to do after Christmas... I know it's going to happen before the 28th... just unsure when!!!!
And I snooped. I went to use his laptop and when I pulled up Facebook, he was still logged in. I saw he had a message that said "Congratulations!!" He said that he had the ring but hasn't proposed yet. He said it will happen soon. That didn't help really... just made me excited and even more impatient. lol Then I logged out and carried on... I'm bad. I know. Bad TaurianDoll, BAD!

I am going pretty crazy I have to confess! he has said that he will propose by September 2013 and we have recently been looking at rings and he got my ring size a few weeks ago. The suspense is killing me! I just dont know when he will do it :)
I was holding up fine until now! My stomch is in knots!! Me and my SO work Xmas eve.I work until 2:00 and he works until 4:00. I'm going to kill time by getting my nails done since my SO told me 'you really need to go get your nails done tomorrow' lol clearly he doesn't sugarcoat anything.
Was HOPING and DREAMING (literally) about a holiday season proposal and I got one! Realistically I was thinking I would get it this time next year but I got it Friday! Surprised it actually happened so soon!

Counting down the hours here: he put a little gold bag from a jewelry store under the tree and I have to wait, wait and wait. He said it is not a ring. Is he joking or not?
Aaaahhhhh! I know it will be soon and I thought maybe tonight because we have dinner reservations out. But he just called to say his boss/friend invited us to dinner tonight and just wanted to double check that I wouldn't rather go there for dinner. What?! SIGH... we have decided to still go out so we can have a nice dinner, just us. But clearly he isn't planning a proposal tonight. :(. I am going crazy!! I know he has the ring, and I know it will be this year. I mean wtf is he waiting for??? I know I need to just chill, but I am having a moment. Hey guys. I just came from the nail salon and the hair dressers. We are going to a party tonight and...I donnow.
Is this what it is like now? To know it could be ANY DAY? Who knows...I donnow if he has the ring. I know that he ordered it. I just don't know if he has it in his possession.
He ordered the ring and spoke to my dad a night or two ago. I would be surprised if it happened so quickly. It is all happening so fast. I am freaking out just a little bit. Like I need some water.
Oh I wish I weren't so AWARE of evetrything. I need a dress for tonight.

well no christmas proposal for me. SO told me that Jewels for me screwed up the ring and had to be scrapped and a new order started. He said it wouldn't get it here until friday or saturday, so it sounds like a NY Eve proposal instead! Oh well, I don't care when :) I know where his hearts at and that he plans on it very soon.

Something I've noticed since my S/O has made it obvious to friends and family that I'm going to be around for the duration is that one of his friends has become more of a pest. Like on specific date nights, he calls and my S/O doesn't answer so on the most recent date night he just so happens to pop up at my S/O's house...Anybody else experienced this during the wait? Is this to be expected more frequenty?
@ThePrissyFiancee: thats strange... Have you spoken to SO about this behavior?
Yeah, we're all supposed to have a meeting next Sunday about it (me, FI and the friend).

Just like the title says :) if you're expecting a Christmas proposal, we have 5 days left, how are you holding up? Excited? Nervous? Impatient, patient?
I feel a bubbling excitement inside but I am pretty cool and collected on the outside. I just bought a new blouse that I plan to wear on Christmas.. And I have a back-up blouse I just bought a few weeks ago to wear Christmas Eve in case he surprises me and proposes then, instead. I should also plan some extra outfits for the other few days for the weekend.. Yipes!
