I love the ring! I had my eye on a similar one for awhile at a local jeweler because I knew I wanted both diamonds and sapphires on my e-ring and for it to be more of a vintage/antique style. The ring was an estate piece and I hear you on how expensive they can be!

OMG. I totally love this setting. My ering has sapphires on. My mum actually wears her mother’s art deco engagement ring which is like the Beverly Hills Antiques one. If she didn’t already have it, this is the design I would have chosen for mine!

Who from Etsy is making your ring for you?

Oh it’s so pretty! And i love that shade of blue. It’s not too dark, not too light, but it’s very vibrant!

Just a thought, however have you thought of getting a setting like this one

And getting a sapphire seperately? Some of the Etsy sellers actually get their settings from this vendor (not saying that this one is using them though!). Here is a picture of that setting that somebody has put a sapphire into

You could then get a stone separately. It might be better to get a heat treated sapphire, as they are cheaper than natural ones, and are a good idea if on a budget. The folks over on Pricescope’s coloured stone forums could be really useful for you http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/forum.asp?forumID=11

As an example, all of these sapphires would fit in the above setting
