@hollyberry4:  I kept my name.  We never talked to the DJ about it though, so he just said my husband’s last name.  It didn’t bother me.

@hollyberry4:  We just didn’t get introduced. We didn’t feel we needed some big grand enterance. We just entered with the guests.

I’m keeping my name but the DJ will introduce us as Mr and Mrs.  (his last name).  I think it’s cute for the night!

@hollyberry4:  I’m keeping my name professionally and going by his socially so it’s a bit of a toss up

I didn’t change my name and our DJ just announced us by our first names. Our officiant used my husband’s last name when she pronounced us husband and wife but most of my friends and family knew I wasn’t changing my name. People on his side of the family assumed I changed my last night, I only correct them if they are sending me something official.

I’m probably going to be in your same position (haven’t fully decided on keeping my last name yet), so I would ask the DJ to announce us as Mr. John Smith and Mrs. Jane Doe.

I did change my name, however, if I had kept it I would have had the DJ announce both of our last names as well to get a good jump on letting people know that I didn’t change it.

I’m keeping my name and we are likely going to have the DJ introduce us with our first names only.  Most people know that I am keeping my last name.

@ImmaBee:  If you will be keeping your maiden name, the correct choice is Ms.

To the OP, I am not changing my name however we will be announced as Mr. and Mrs John Doe.

@hollyberry4:  Our DJ introduced us by our first names and when we were announced during the ceremony, it was also just first names.  I did tell people if they asked about keeping my name, but many people just heard through word of mouth, on facebook (I didn’t change my name), or by our thank you cards, which had both of our full names printed on the picture and on the return address label.

@hollyberry4:  I did not let people know.  I did not feel the need to.  Everyone who only knows me and not my husband thinks I have his name because I have two last names (my mom’s and dad’s), so they just assume that one of them is his.

Professionally i will keep my naeme but socially we have agreed that I will use his… except I kinda just want to use mine.. Until we have kids.. dont know what to do.

Will be following this for sure!
