@Someday_Mrs_Maguire:  I’m gonna go ahead and post the top-facing pics too, since they’re so gorgeous!  Tough decision!!  I would pick #2 because it’s got less detail work and I like relatively simple/clean designed rings.  But the question is–what are you drawn to more?  What’s your gut reaction to rings with more detail and rings with less?

Personally, I like  the first halo better than the second.

Are you looking for something more antique-y (#1) or more modern (#2)? What is more your ‘style’?

We’ve actually been considering getting the second one for me, so I’m a little biased. lol

I love both of them, though. Either would be great. 🙂

I personally prefer simpler rings, so I would go with #2. However, I’m probably not the best judge because I am generally not a fan of halos.

@Someday_Mrs_Maguire:  I’m more drawn to the first one, because of the details

I think that’s your answer!  You need to go with your gut or you might regret it!

@Someday_Mrs_Maguire:  Honestly? Let your FI choose? I almost refused the ring he got me because ‘it wasn’t my taste’ at first.

Now after wearing it for moths I love it so much. If you let him choose it will help you finalize the decision and will make him feel like he go tot be part of the process in a special way (other then paying for it). Plus, I think it will be more sympbolic afterwards for you…

I like Ring #1 because I am a sucker for milgrain also, but another thought … As you wear the ring, the other one may show the scratches on the sides inherent to an every day piece of jewelry a lot more than one with the milgrain and design on Ring 1 that would somewhat disguise those wear signs.

I really like the 2nd one.  My only reservations about those rings is that they’ll be REALLY tall, so they’ll need to be babied a bit more than your average ring.  Is your stand-in tall so you have an idea of what the wearing experience will be like?
