i don’t really understand what you’re asking. so it’s an e-ring and it costs $599? or she changed a ring you had?

Are you worried she’s ripped you off? I’d take the ring somewhere else and get it appraised again.

He’s saying it seems weird for it to be SO cheap!

@firstworldproblems:  I don’t know much about this, but I do know there’s a giant forum called Pricescope.com that is dedicated to gems and diamonds and all that.  They’re REALLY good at solving stuff like this.

And I just wasted 15 minutes looking at all those GORGEOUS GORGEOUS antique rings!!!!!!!  My preciousssss…..  I wants it………

@firstworldproblems:  Where did the insurance appraisal come from? Definitely take it to your own independent appraiser. If this checks out, that seriously IS a miracle, and please PM me her info haha!

Did she make the ring new for you? Or did you purchase an estate piece?

Honestly, I would take the ring to a jeweler and have them look at it….not sure how she could have done it for you that cheap. If it is legit you got a FAB deal!

Do you have a picture? Not that we could tell if the stone was real or not by a picture, but I’m curious as to what it looks like….are you sure the price was for the WHOLE ring and not just the mounting??

i guess the best idea would be to just go get it appraised by someone else.

@firstworldproblems:

Hmm now i’m starting to wonder though if the lady is very elderly and may have made a mistake on the paperwork and missed a number, like number 5. so it should have been over 5k and not 500.

I mean you can’t get a 1 ct diamond ring for under a grand as far as I know. I would want to be honest in this scenerio and make sure this wasn’t a mistake on her part.
