Ok, just have to vent because I just came out of the ladies restroom at work.
WHAT IS UP WITH NOT FLUSHING?!!! sorry…it’s gross
I just don’t understand it. In a public restroom where there are little kids, still gross, but I can kind of get it more, but in the office?! C’mon ladies! Yes, we all pee and poo, but do you really need to leave it in the toilet? I know I can’t be the only one out here who experiences this. ICK!!!

I feel you there! I ALSO hate when I come back to the bathroom (coed bathroom) & the guys have PEED on the top of the toilet seat. Forreal?!?! I mean, lift up the seat! But flushing is just gross. I don’t want those people’s floating particles of their pee & poo floating around for me to smell &OR taste…gross!

I just love that half of the women in my office don’t wash their hands after a pee OR poo! We have antibacterial gel in the bathrooms too, and they don’t use that either! It KILLS me!

Oh yah that too! The not washing hands thing! I’m sorry, but running your hands under some water is not the same!! It’s called soap and it’s there for a reason!

I hate using the ladies room at work. Thankfully when I returned to work after the holidays, they installed automatic flushers – you know, when you get up the thing automatically goes? It’s awesome. Hah!
My biggest ladies room pet peeve though – the whole place is empty and there’s like 6 stalls… why do you have to walk into the one RIGHT.NEXT.TO.ME?!?!?
(P.S. – HunnyBear cute new prof. pic. You look really tan!)

so, one of the toilets in my office doesn’t flush properly. It takes about 45 minutes for the tank to fill up – i.e. for it to be able to flush again. Trouble is, every time we tell the guy who does maintenance about it, he waits until everyone is gone to go fuss with it, so there won’t be women in the restroom, only by the time everyone is long gone, it flushes fine, because no one’s used it. So it NEVER gets fixed.
and yes, people insist on using it. only then they can’t flush!
There’re only like 10 women in our office, and it drives me CRAZY that people use it and are seemingly okay with the entire bathroom reeeeeeking of stale pee. Eww eww eww ewwwwwww!

I just. don’t. get. it.
My sister is one of those culprits! I know it… she would never flush when we were kids. The thought of it makes me dry heave. Yuck!

pffftt… i can beat that. i had to clean menstrual blood and faeces from the ladies toilets (2 seperate occasions) here and we’re all white collar/management people here!
once youve done that – unflushed toilets is a nice option 😀

On the washing hands thing – I used to work in a school where the only hot water was in the 1st floor bathroom which the parents used. The rest of the washrooms didn’t have hot water or soap….so even the few kids who DID wash their hands (it’s really not normal here) – didn’t really do anything for the germs on their hands. Even in the winter there was no hot water, so it really discouraged hand washing since the water was like ice (and no paper towels or hand dryer to even dry or warm them up). I’ve heard that because of H1N1, the kids are now being forced to wash their hands…but since there is no hot water or soap..it doesn’t make much of a difference >.<

OMG!! Ladies rooms as so much more worse than mens room!! When I worked in SF-that was the worse. There were about 4 suites that used the same bathroom. I have never come across so many disgusting sights in my life!! You name it I saw it and the cleaning crew came around about every 2 hours. REALLY!?!?! Does your butt explode that much? Change your diet then or take something that you don’t blow up the bathroom. Plus the building offered free femine products so it’s not like you have to run out of the office with something in your hand or try to hide it from anyone in the office. But still no-seriously, theres no reason to make the floor red! I didn’t go as far as Eloping did and clean it up. I just walked back out of the bathroom and waited for it to be cleaned (poor cleaning people) 🙁
When I was younger and would go clubbing in Boston, there was always, always, always a line for the ladies room. Drunk me would just go use the mens room instead of waiting. Theirs was much cleaner than the ladies. No pee (except at the urinals and I wasn’t using those), no vomit, no feces. Just toilet paper on the floor-I can live with that 🙂
