Okay I am in LOVE with my Asscher cut and I want to see others.
Here's my baby, I like to call her my Sparkler.

I have to agree. I LOVE step cut diamonds. This is my wedding set with my asscher diamond engagement ring.
Keep these beauties coming. I love this post.

I watched the Bachelorette last night and was so happy to see Ali's asscher cut engagment ring. Look at this Neil Lane beauty.

Any other asscher diamonds in the hive?
I'm late to the party, but you can't blame me..i just got engaged 2 weeks ago! I wanted an asscher from the first time i saw one..and it was a 0.5 ct I colour! But i knew then and there it was the cut i wanted. Imagine my surprise when my fiance surprised me with a 1.01 ct E colour!
super late to this post but wanted to share my asscher. wouldn't have picked another cut. and boy did I put in foot work for this one. lol

Here's mine. It's set in brushed rose gold. Very basic setting by a local designer that specializes in minimal designs. I will be stacking it with my wedding band and sparkly anniversary bands to come...lol
What does an asscher cut mean? I tried looking it up online with no avail.
@sonomagal: That is beautiful! I wanted an asscher so bad, but I got a cushion instead. I love the rose gold, though, and the texture is so unique.
@SweetRose2011: An asscher is essentially an emerald cut that is square in shape rather than rectangular. It usually has its corners cut so it is often an octagon (8 sided). Cuts like round (also oval), princess, radiant, marquise, and cushion are facet cut. Emerald and asschers are what is called "step cut". Instead of lots of small facets, asschers and emeralds have longer planes cut into them. So instead of being "sparkly" they are more "flashy". A good place to read about the cut and its history is...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLPjBwKQx8g. Great YouTube video.
@sonomagal: Thank you, at first I thought my ring might fall into that category but the cut looked a little different, and all the descriptions online weren't helping any.
@SweetRose2011: Post a picture of your diamond. I am pretty good at identifying cuts. Gemology is a hobby of mine.
I know it's been a while since someone posted to this, but I've searched this thread for a while now and I just got my asscher two days ago!!!

I want to bring the post back! I love my asscher, and wasn't aware of this cut until I started researching.
For reference my center stone is 2.01 and my finger size is a 3- 3.25 (mini I know!)
For those not sure if they want an asscher, it definitely shows smaller than a round, however it's gorgeous in its own right! xoxo
*drool* i love asschers...waiting for an update from an etsy jeweler about my aqua asscher/rose gold RHR as i type this.
My fiance completely surprised me, but he picked out the perfect ring!
p.s. my ring looks awesome...my fingers look so pudgy!
I have to add mine, too :)
I fell in LOVE with the Asscher cut when I started looking at rings - they're so unique and classic. I absolutely love my ring
For reference - 1.5c stone (finger size 4.25)

@davisqtpie: Is that amethyst? Where did you get it? I've been looking for an asscher gemstone RHR.
@asscherlover: It's a lavender sapphire. We got it at Shane Company in Cupertino, CA. I have the only one they have, though!
@davisqtpie: Wow I've never heard of lavender sapphire before. Its a beautiful stone. Too bad they don't have more :(
Here is mine! Size 7, .76 center stone for reference. I/J color and VS2 clarity. Beautiful rings ladies!
OMG these are all just divine. i love them so much. if i wasn't set on a round stone, i would definitely get an Asscher.
I have to show off mine now! My center stone is 1.59 cts with amazing clarity/color. It never stops sparkling! :)

i know it's been a while since anyone's posted on this thread, but I figured I should add my ring into the mix :) It's a 1.2 carat asscher H color, vvs2, and ring size 5.5 ps - please ignore my chubby pregnant lady fingers :)
Good afternoon ladies! Just wanted to share a pic of my e-ring and wedding band (wrap). I've been married almost two years and I still love to look at my ring. Hope you like. :)
