...how are you embellishing them?  I bought enough invitations for my wedding, we think they are super cute.  Originally I was just going to put a yellow bow at the top in the place of the white bow that included and then line the envelope with yellow cardstock.

But then we got a wedding invitation that is super gorgeous and I feel underwhelmed with these.  I can't afford to get professional invites done so I'm trying to think of different things to do with what I already have.  Maybe some sort of background decoration with a stamp?  Please help!  I know how creative you bees are!  Thanks so much!!

I have pocket folds that I have been planning on using for a long time, I have not yet purchased the MS eyelet invitations but I think they would work really well glued on top of the one side of the pocketfold.  I am thinking about putting a small peice of paper behind the eyelets (in a different color than the pocket fold) to make the eyelets really stand out.  Sorry if it's hard to understand, I think I will try to create a mock up today, to see if I like it.

Oh also, I am thinking about finding a stamp or paper puncher with the same kind of look, like a flower with lots of tiny details or something.  Then I could stamp/ paper punch it at the top of the page.

I think they'd be cute with a backing layer that matches the color ink you're using. Instead of the bow, a monogram might work - you could always get a stamp made with your monogram.

eggman-on walmart's website they have the eyelet hole punch.  It doesn't have the flower but the two swoops below it.  I bought it to use for my programs and the menu I'm making to go in the invites too.  I think I might make some mockups this weekend as well to post pictures.  I have 5 different versions going on in my head!

stringer-the monogram is a great idea too!  Thanks!

you can do it in landscape format and crop off the part with the bow...then do a unique layout for the invitation portion and perhaps include a graphic.  I would also do a small ribbon along the side to separate where the eyelets are and where the invitation starts.  Not sure if any of that made sense but it seems like there are tons of options to dress them up a bit.

    Best of luck!!

I just got the Martha Stewart eyelet invitations too and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to customize them.  Our wedding is in December, so I am trying to make them more wintery.  I know I am going to line the envelopes with some type of a brown print and I'm going to use a monogram on the top of the invitation.  I think I'm going to make a red bellyband out of cardstock and maybe ribbon to serve in place of an inner envelope.  I'm trying to decide if I'm going to back the invitation with another color- that might make it less summery.  I got the thank you cards too and I'm trying to figure out a way to customize them because they are a little plain.  Any ideas?

I finished my mock-ups using the MS eyelet invitation and I love it!  I have had the belly band for a while and was looking for something that would work will with it that wasn't too plain nor too busy.  My only decision left is; green or pink behind the invitation...

@ eggman -- I love all the different colors!  I had to order paper for mine so I'm waiting for it to get here, then I'll make my mockup and post it on here.  Hopefully the paper will come soon...I'm anxious to try out my ideas!

@eggman and mnmgirl-- I also love your mock up and I am also using Martha Stewart Eyelet invitations! The paper punch that is identical to the eyelet is called Martha Stewart Scallop Punch and is at Michael's for $14.99 as of last week.  Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi everyone! I am also one of those who snagged the Eyelet suite for $2 at Big Lots. I was able to get plenty of invitations but only one set of thank you cards. I was wondering if anyone has the eyelet edge punch and would be willing to let me buy it from them. I would like to buy plain thank you cards and punch them to match the eyelet ones, but the punch is no longer for sale on Martha Stewarts website.

Where did you find pocketfolds that fit??  How did these end up fitting in the envelopes provided by MS?  Did you hve to get new ones?
