I have very fine, very straight hair. I don’t usually hold curls either but my hair stylist sprayed the hell out of my hair and it held all day!

@LadyMoriarty:  im thinking half up half down….i wear my hair in a ponytail soo much that i feel like if its all up i wont feel special…and if its all down….its long and has a mind of its own im afraid ill be one of those brides on the blooper shows where my hair catches fire….because if i lean forward at all it all flops….so 1/2 and 1/2 is where im going….not sure though…

My hair is thin and fine and I’m putting clip in extensions in just for the volume and curl! My hair will be something along this line:

Sorry it’s sideways and she started to take it out before we took a picture, but you can get the idea. I knew I wanted to wear my hair up since it’s so fine and whispy that it a) falls flat quickly and b) gets tangled and fly-aways really easily.

I have VERY fine and VERY straight hair.  I had curls for the big day. It was 100 degrees out and the humidty took them out a lot (but after the ceremony)

@RunnerBride13:  so pretty!

Mine is fine and doesn’t hold a curl either. My hairstylist put it up for the ceremony and then I did a half up/half down for the reception (maybe having it up helped my hair to stay curly?).  I definitely could tell my hair lost a bit of the curls by the end of the reception. I highly suggest extensions! Also, don’t condition your hair the day before or day of the wedding!! Most hairstylists will hairspray your hair pretty well to try and hold your curls. I just did a recap where you can see my two hairstyles.

I have very fine hair as well that doesn’t hold a curl. I purchased clip-in extensions which were amazing. My hairstylist also pin set my curls which was amazing with helping my hair hold a curl. I ended up wearing it down. The curls definitely fell throughout the night but it still had a gorgeous wave to it later in the evening. This is a pic from later in the reception. If you want to wear it down, you just have to be realistic about it not staying super curly all night.

I also wanted to mention if your hair is in layers it tends to curl better than if your hair is all one length which can drag your curls down.
