I don’t wear them personally but im a makeup artist so I use them for photoshoots and clients. There is no reason why you need to buy mac glue. I would actually recommend Duo which you can buy at cvs. Make sure you get the white one because it dries clear. They sell a black glue but I dont recommend it. As far as lashes there are all kinds of good ones. I like the mac lashes and makeup forever but there is no reason you should have to spend that much. I use ardell lashes a lot and you can also buy those at cvs. Try to keep them natural looking for you wedding.

I wore Mac #33 for my e-pics – they were natural and pretty.

Sorry, my pics don’t come in until December.

Here is some cheap-o ones I got from the family dollar for $2.50 !! They held on all day. I put them on around 4pm & took them off around 1 am. They would have lasted longer but I took them off to go to sleep.

This picture is right after I put them on:

This one is before I took them off hours later:

I had better luck with the individual eyelashes. The brand I have is called Andrea, I’ve ever only seen them at Walgreens. I think they are about $5.00 but they include the glue. I bought mine 2 years ago and only dig them out for special occasions so I still have half a box left. I’ve tried the strip lashes and they make me feel like I have a caterpiller on my eyelid, but I don’t notice these at all, once I  have them secured and glued on. One thing I would tell you is to put all your eye make up on first, before trying to apply the eyelashes. It is just a big mess if you try to do it the other way around.

I really like Ardell. I can’t remember what style number.. maybe 110? I like it somewhat natural looking. What i do is clip a little bit off the outer ends (maybe a few centimeters) and after I attach the lash, I’ll re-attach the outer end that I clipped on top of the rest at the end- so it’s layered. It gives your eyes a little more drama and fullness. i see no reason to buy the name brand or spend any more than $3-4 max. usually i can even find similar styles at swap meets and fairs for $1. have fun!

i use a brand call red cherry. love it, usually get it at an asian dollar store and it’s so comfortable.  The ones I’m wearing aren’t the same as the one’s in the box, but they have so many different kinds, natural, drama, way out there…lol. Definitely buy different ones to try out, you can even stack them for a more dramatic look.  And for glue…I wish I knew what brand my MUA uses, because it’s kinda like tacky….it sticks real well and even if it pops out, u can press it back in because unike glue, it doesn’t dry, its just tacky lol.

I have worn so many different types I can’t remember them all… I love to wear false lashes! I recently got the Voluminous False Lashes mascara and I’ve not had to use lashes since (except on Halloween because I wanted some sparkles! tehe)

(ignore my rose I was attempting the artsy look… lol) This is with the false lash mascara on my natural lashes…

I’ve been a false eyelash wearer for years. I wore them everyday a few years ago while going thru chemo and lost some lashes. I got pretty good at it so when it came to wedding day I felt like a pro, even my girls said “Look at her puttin’ those lashes on” so practice, practice, practice. I have tried several brands and sizes but I prefer the ones called “babies”. They arn’t to long and perfect size for me.

Does anyone do the eyelash extensions? I’ve wanted to try it but I’d like to see what it looks like first.

I second the previous Bee who suggests Duo glue, the kind that dries clear.

I’m very blonde: including my lashes, so I wear a ½ strip of false lashes for all dressed-up occasions.

I love the Ardell lashes in brown:  because they’re a very, very light brown and looks natural on me.

The kind I’m in love with right now are the Brown Wispies.  I cut the strip in half and glue it from the outer corners of my eyes, and it blends and looks really natural (and I get 4 strips out of one box that way too).

I use lashes all the time as well and have used all different brands.  Definitely just buy Duo glue from CVS or Walgreens.  There is no need to spend that extra money on Mac glue.  But, I love the darktone glue!  I wear black liner on top and the black glue blends right in with the liner.  Sometimes, I feel like you can still see the clear glue, even though it is clear.  Lately, I’ve been using the lashes from Walmart that are $2.98.  They have over 20 different styles and are no different than the Ardell ones I have used fom Sally’s.  I would just recommend trying to find ones that are described as 100% human hair.  The synthetic ones can tend to be too shiny and “false” looking.  As someone else said, practice, practice, practice.  It took a little bit to get the hang of them and get them in the right spot.
