I wear an 11 or 11.5. Most stores here don’t go past a 10, so I’m feeling limited. I tend to go for cheap flats or running shoes. I’m terribly boring with my shoes. For the wedding I’m looking for some aubergine/deep purple flats.
I really don’t want to buy online without trying them on since if they’re not comfortable I won’t wear them. Any suggestions of places I should check out? Where did you get your shoes?

@thursdayschild: I second Zappos. I know you said you didn’t want to buy online, but they do free shipping both ways, so you’re not really out anything if you don’t like them.
The only other thing I can suggest, that I ever have any luck with is The Avenue. It is a plus size womens clothing store, but they also have larger shoes and wide widths. As a bonus, they are very reasonably priced.

I have a friend who wears an 11 and she LOVES Nordstrom Rack. She says they always have the best selection of larger shoes, and they’re all discounted.

Gotta go with Zappos too. I have my eye on a pair of Annie’s t-straps. As soon as we have a few exra dollars, they will be mine.

I wear anything from a 10 to 11 wide.
I love Nordstrom, Nordstrom rack, Payless (cheap, but they always have something), Burlington Coat Factory, Marshals and Ross.
Nordstrom Rack is great for more high-end expensive discounted shoes. ALWAYS, check out Nordstrom during a half-yearly sale.
Steve Madden and his other brands also have a good selection of 10+ size shoes and more often then not I can wear them without them being sized as Wide…which is great!
Gotta say Zappos too. They have awesome return policies and a HUGE selection of larger sized shoes. Good luck!
Edit: I forgot to add. Depending on where you live go check out the outlet stores in your area (Even if they are an hour away, take a few friends and have at it!). A lot of the time they send larger sized shoes there at amazing discounts because fewer women wear size 10-11-12 (I have had some absolutely amazing scores at high end stores that I would have never gone into normally.)
