I bought some clip-in extensions last night from Sally Beauty Supply. I love the look and feel but I’m a little puzzled on what tracks go where. Obviously the biggest one goes in the back, but then there are 2 more of that same size (do they go on the sides, or above the same one in the back).
Just curious where you all put the different tracks to get the best look?
AND … my hair is just past my shoulders and these extensions go down to my chest. Do you take them in to your stylist to get them cut into the correct shape, or do you just blend them together like they are?
Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

I bought ‘real hair clip in extension’ My hair stylist will dye them the right colour and then put them in for me the day of my wedding. I’m doing a low updo. Can’t wait. But yes, your hair stylist should be able to put them in.

I have clip in extensions from sallys that are made of human hair. I’ve had them and worn them off and on for a long time. When I first got them I took them to my stylist, she actually cut a few of the tracks into smaller pieces and showed me where and how to put them in myself. Also, my colorist will color them so they match perfect. Don’t be afraid to ask your stylist either, mine said most of the girls wear them a lot when they go out or just to change things up a little some days.

Not sure what pack you bought, but my extension pack came with 5 pieces.
3 large pieces of varying sizes for the back (largest width at the lowest position near the back of your neck and work up),
2 small side pieces one for each side.
If you bought Remmy or Natural hair extentions you can shampoo, cut, dye, iron, blow dry them like you would your own hair.
If you decide to dye them yourself, they are way more sensitive to dyes then live hair so only leave the dye on for like 3-4 minutes or so.
I bought mine to add length, so I just blend and style them into my hair. But you are your hairstylist can cut them!
I usually blowdry/iron my hair, then brush and iron the extensions before I clip them it, and them I style trying to mix my hair and extensions together.
Hope that helps even a little!

I think everyone does it different, but I put the smallest peices near the bottom of my hair….. which lines up near the bottom of my ear…. and the longest part near the top of my crown. If you are confused, I youtube everything! Good luck.
