I haven’t lost a stone yet. In fact, I’ve been engaged for almost 14 months, and this month was the FIRST time I went to have my ring inspected for loose stones. Not a single stone was loose. I don’t wear my ring 24/7 (I take it off to sleep and shower) but I DO wear it at the gym, which they of course lectured me about. So that’s definitely NOT true of all halos, I bang mine alllllll the time.

@DunnToBe1025:  I’m sorry you are going through this mess. I’ve heard that pave style bands have the potential to be problematic.  I have a halo with a triple shank pave band and have had no issues with it compared to my original solitare setting. did you recently have it resized? Some bees have had stones fall out after resizing.

Is it that it’s because of the halo or are the diamonds micro pave? A friend has micro pave diamonds along her band and several have fallen out…like 12. The jeweler is now rebuilding her ring because of this.

@DunnToBe1025:  Oh I’m sure. I know my friend’s husband has had it with spending as much as he did on a ring and having to continuously go to the jeweler due to stones falling out.

I have a square halo setting with a pave band, and no stones loose yet – and I wear mine all day, every day. I even wore mine though a 30k race today (probably not advisable)! Now that I see your post, I’m thinking I should probably get mine checked … so thank you for the heads up!

Best of luck with your ring!

I have a halo setting and a pave band….so far, so good. I’ve had mine for 11 months. (Knock on wood). I’m sorry you are having these issues – hope you can get it resolved!

I work in agriculture (aka I’m pretty rough on my poor ring) and have yet to have any issues at all.  I hope you don’t continue having issues with yours!

I haven’t lost a stone yet, knock on wood.  But I take it off to sleep, shower, cook, wash my hands, anything that might cause a stone to become lose.  With my jeweler, I have to take it in every 6 months for warranty, and they check the stones and tighten them if they are loose.

it might just depend on the setting.  Do you have any photos? My halo has little bitty stones that are, what appears to me, set quite sturdy.
