This is the case I have for my Kindle Keyboard, I've loved it:

    http://www.amazon.com/JAVOedge-Cherry-Blossom-Keyboard-Twilight/dp/B0041TZAIS/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1324868447&sr=8-9

I got a new Kindle Fire this year, but not willing to part with my KK yet!

@stephanie63087: I just saw your post on the other board! I have the exact same Kindle as you. I want to get a case with a light. I was looking at this one: Kindle Case

I just started looking though. I'm curious to see what other bees suggest!

    I have this case:

    http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Lighted-Leather-Cover-Keyboard/dp/B003DZ168E/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1324868631&sr=8-12

I love it and the light comes in really handy when DH wants to sleep and I still want to read.

@soon2bS: ah thank you! i am just so torn between on like this... or one with the elastic bands to hold it in place.... or the one with the metal bracket .... so many choices!

@Aure: does the kindle stay secure in there with the little pieces that hold it in??

@stephanie63087: Yup, the little pieces are elastic on the top and leather on the bottom so it stays really secure.

If you do end up going with a case with metal hooks for the light make sure it has good reviews. Some of the cheaper ones can actually short out the Kindle.

@stephanie63087: I've never had a problem with it not staying in place, but I've also never removed it.  I also like it because I flip the cover to the back and it gives me a nice hand rest.  My hand would cramp up from holding such a thin Kindle so I liked how it was more substantial with the case on.

@Aure: yea i was reading that... it scares me but it seems to be on the ones without the built on light.... so i guess i might get one with a light....

@stephanie63087: My light slides behind the Kindle and in front of the case.  It looks like a bookmark with a light on it.  My biggest issue with the light is that if it's not tilted perfectly, I get this really annoying glare right in the middle of the page.

@stephanie63087: I've never tried it because I'm too chicken but I've heard of people putting their kindle in a ziploc bag to read it in the bath. I don't know that I trust myself that much because I'm so clumsy but I just wanted to throw that out there!

I have the pink leather lighted leather cover that Amazon makes. It adds some bulk and is a little heavier than just the kindle, but if you ever want to read at night or in the dark on an airplane or something, it's awesome! I take the cover off when I read and put it back on when I put the kindle back in my bag. You definitely need a cover, I've scratched mine when I didn't use it. I recommend the lighted leather covers, even if you don't lose the light that often it's worth it.

I don't have a screen protector, I know my case has a felt-ish material on the inside that seems to protect it very well. I seem to be able to break anything but a year later it's still in perfect condition!

I have the red case with the built-in light and I love it. And I don't have-or need-a screen protector. Also, a friend spilled beer all over my kindle (the cover was open) and it still works perfectly.

@stephanie63087: I really love it. The clips hold it really securely, I never have to take it out to read because the front flips all the way to rest flat to the back (the bungee cord holds it there), and the felty inside protects the screen really well. I like that it's got the feel of a mid-sized book when it's flipped back, makes it easy to hold. It's a bit spendy, but Mr.ND went all out for my birthday and I'm so glad he did.

@MrsDibs:  I have this case as well!

It is best!  Very light weight and the light runs off the kindle.  Makes it easy to read anywhere.

I don't have a Kindle Keyboard (mine's a Kindle 4) but I made my own case from a book I picked up at the Dollar Tree because I couldn't find anything I really liked to pay that amount of money for. I was really random in my exactness.
