I’ve seen a lot of very beautiful rings on this site and they are absolutely gorgeous. Mine is simple and plain and I love it. I’m wondering where all the ladies that have rings like mine are?!? So I’m starting a post of rings that are less than 1/2 carat. I have a 1/3 carat princess cut diamond and I wouldn’t want anything else. My fiance would have bought me whatever I wanted, but I told him to save his money for our lives together rather than spend a lot of money on a ring I would be too nervous to wear. So here’s my sparkler:

@mycupoftea: Ohh! love it. Where’d you/your fiance find it?

Mine is around 1/3 ct, though we’re not absolutely sure. It was his great-grandmother’s ring. Before he knew that this one was left to him (his mom had it, and didn’t tell him) we discussed a colored stone. I didn’t want him to spend a lot of money that he didn’t have on a diamond, plus I wasn’t ever a huge diamond person. I absolutely adore mine. It’s not so huge that I feel someone will try to steal it, plus it’s so sparkly and beautiful. That, and the fact that his mom gave it to him for me means they approve of me, and he finds me to be important enough to give the ring that an important ancestor wore.

@Helium: Thanks! 🙂 He got it at a UK store called H.Samuel

Just wanted to tell you ladies your rings are gorgeous!!! I’m so glad you are all happy with small diamonds and don’t get envious of others who have larger stones. But I seriously love this thread! That’s all I wanted to say. I almost ended up with a .50 carat ring before I found the one I have now; I would post but it’s 1 cttw (.51 center) and I want to keep this thread respectful of small, dainty, and beautiful rings.

Im kind of cheating this was my engagement ring 0.23 centre, it was so pretty, but i recently had it upgraded to 0.54c centre after hubby had bought a second hand ring v cheap with the bigger diamond but did not want me having a bigger diamond on my right hand so we swapped the stones, but i love seeing all your rings as i still have the diamond from ths one and will eventually get it made into a new ring for anniversary or baby.

Mine is 1/3 “promise ring” according to Zales but it’s what I wanted for my engagement ring and I love it. I am currently looking for my “bridal set” which will be a slight upgrade but still without our budget range.

Here is my first engagement ring…have since upgraded…I kinda miss it tho….55ct

I’m a waiting bee but had to peek on the wedding boards! OP, your ring is EXACTLY what my dream ring would be! I’m not picky anymore though lol I’ve been waiting for years, I’m now at the point where I’d take a plastic ring out of a crackerjack box as long as it exists!
All your rings are SO PRETTY!!

My center stone is about 1/3 ct and the sidestones total about 1/5 ct. Altogether about 1/2 ct.

@Omgbunnies: Thank you bunnies. I adore my ring. I actually went shopping with my fiance and he kept asking me over and over if I was sure because the lady kept trying to get me to choose a larger ring. It was a larger diamond, but it’s quality was low and it was quite obvious. This one just kept sparkling up at me and I fell in love with it. It’s simple and I went with a simple white gold band for my wedding band too. I tried on several with stones but none jumped out at me until I put on the simple band. It is what I’ve always dreamed of seeing on my hand. I wouldn’t want anything else.
I started this thread because I felt like many of the “ring porn” threads showed nothing but rings with large stones and lots of glitz. I agree that those are beautiful, but I wanted people to see that smaller stones with simpler settings can be beautiful too. I just didn’t want to add my ring to the other posts and have people think it didn’t stack up.
