We took ours at the beginning of May, FI likes to slouch so he’s actually taller than me. I was semi upset because that’s such a great photo of us but oh well. I feel like I’ve posted my pics so many times, lol.

I did a dress with leggings and knee high boots.  I added a jacket later, but stayed in the same outfit.

we were originally supposed to do ours in the fall too but our photographer turned out to be kind of a douche and we had to switch and there was no time left.  So now we’re doing them this summer instead.  It’ll be alternate seasons to our wedding too since we’re getting  married in October.  I have a bunch of outfit ideas I tried on for the fall photos that I posted in threads last year.  If you look at the threads I started – they were my first few threads, that might give you ideas of what I was going for.

I just ordered my dresses today for our e-photos from Mod Cloth… haven’t tried them on yet obviously but theres photos of other girls in them and that helps.

The red one I LOVE but not for summer photos… i think it would look great for end of summer/autumn

that isn’t me in the red… but thats the dress… comes in  many colours… LOVE it… Even that polka dot dress comes im many patterns.. I love that in the fall i can wear it with black tights and a cardigan, or I saw one girl who reviewed the dress wore it with a thick red belt and then you can add a red cardi…. so many options.  I’m wearing skinnies and a loose flowy tank for casual photos.  The polka dot dress with flats for semi-casual, and the blue dress with a statement necklace and heels for the dressy photos (so long as it all fits!)

@mrs-to-be-2014: Only did one casual outfit. We did this photo shoot after driving across the country from FL to WY. I had so many plans…but we were soooo tired!!!

We did a late fall/early winter engagement shoot. People thought we were crazy because we did it after the leaves fell but before there was snow. But I think they turned out so beautifully! Just like you, we wanted contrast from what will be summery wedding photos. 🙂

We actually had two engagement sessions.

The first was in October 2011:

The more recent one was early March 2013:

I did a white blazer, white sequined shirt, blue jeans, and nude heels for the casual look, and this from rent the runway for the more dressy:

Metallic Drizzle Gown

@mrs-to-be-2014: We changed outfits halfway through our shoot. It was the Fall time in Colorado and we were aiming for colors that would really pop against the yellow and orange leaves.

ETA: Looks like you choose the Fall time too! I would suggest comparing your areas Fall colors of leaves and going on a color palette website to see which colors really stand out to you and compliment each other.

We changed half way through the shoot – in my car on the street no less lol – and I was glad to be able to have two different looks!
