So we've got the reception venue on lock... The Hour Time off I-65 in Lafayette. DF doesn't want the ceremony at the hotel, soooooo what does a girl who's already over budget do? We're probably expecting 150...  I just need some help! He's Catholic, and I have plenty of Christian faith, but no church membership, and oh yeah we live 1400 miles away... Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks ladies!

Are you wanting to get married in a Catholic church or a Protestant church?  We are getting married at Ross Camp in West Lafayette.  I think that would probably only be 30 minutes, at most, from Hour Time.  We're having the wedding in the on-site chapel (seats 140 easily, we may be pushing it to 150) and then having the reception in another building on-site.  If you only wanted to use the chapel, the rental was only $200 (and $100 of that is a returnable deposit).  You would need to provide an officiant, since the chapel isn't a church that's in use, etc.  Just one option.

If you need some other ideas, I'm sure we can come up with something.

I'm not much help in regards to church or chapel locations. I know Tippecanoe Battlefield Park has a very nice chapel, though with your number of guests, you would probably have to do the ceremony outside of the chapel, which is lovely. Also, there is a church at Ross Hills Camp. It is also beautiful, but I'm not certain of the capacity. Both options are fairly inexpensive; however, I believe it's free to get married within the Purdue Horticultural Park, if that's an appealing route to you.
