We are having nautical-inspired beach wedding. I got a free anchor monogram in our colors on the wedding chicks site that I've incorporated into our invitations, card box, and table numbers. I also saw in a magazine where a bride named all the tables after fish her groom had caught and they had vintage drawings of the fish above the names...I thought it was really cute!
FAVOR IDEAS:
small bags of swedish fish candy
Buy small plain tin boxes (preferably with no labels on them) and paint the tins a pale to medium green with enamel spray paint (do this in a well ventilated area). Once dry, stick some children's fish stickers here and there on the tin. Fill up with gummy worms and present your wedding guests with their own "tackle" box wedding favors.
Pick up packs of "Go Fish" playing cards and wrap in netting or fish theme wrapping paper.
OTHER DECOR:
use an old fishing boat or canoe filled with ice for beer and soft drinks
use an old fishing creel as your cardbox
old fishing poles at the entrance as a type of arch
escort cards could be river rocks with names printed on them

I am thinking on your table decorations you can bling them up with some shiny spinners or lures. Some of the ones out actually look pretty enough to be jewelry.

We are considering having our wedding at a family cabin by a beautiful lake where we often go fishing. Any project ideas like favors, placecards, other decor where we could include lake/fishing theme without it being overwhelming? Thanks!
