Hey there, I'm getting married at Edgewood in 2009 but I've already started looking vendors.  I wasn't really able to find photographers in Tahoe for under 3k but you might want to look into SF or Sac photographers that are willing to come to Tahoe.  A lot of the Tahoe photogs packages also include albums and I'm sure you could try to negotiate those out if you didn't want them and keep the cost down.  Also try XSight, Gina Munda and Annie X (those our the ones our planner recommended, in addition to Christa).  Also try the tahoe wedding planning associations website, they have vendor listings.  Hope that helps!
