Hi all! My fiance and I are considering the fantastic and historic Landmark Center in St. Paul for our ceremony and reception. So far, via emails, the event manager says that she discourages live bands due to the fact that it’s too hard to get a live band to set up during the flip of the large banquet hall from ceremony room to reception. Has anyone done this? I’m just curious if it could work…she did mentioned some bands have in the past and before we meet w/ her, I’m curious to know what’s possible. Thank you!!

Hello! We ran into the same issue after booking Rfactor ( live band ) for our reception. They need at least 2 hours for set up and you don’t want people setting up during dinner. We have decided to have a stage set up on the opposite end of where the ceremony will be and have it draped off so guests won’t see it. That way they can come in earlier, set up, do a sound check, etc. and be ready to go when the reception begins. betsy from the landmark was helpful with sending over this layout! Hope that helps!
